I bought this Ninja blender for my teenage sons to replace our old Ninja blender. Although this whizzes through ice and frozen fruit like a champ, the cups are so wide that it’s really hard for me to hold and twist. I don’t personally use it to make smoothies, but I am the one who has to wash the cups and twisting off the lids of these is very difficult because they’re so wide. I don’t consider my hands to be tiny and delicate, but I struggle every time. My boys don’t seem to mind the width of the cups, but I think it would be difficult to hold compared to the older ninja blender cups, which were more narrow. It would’ve also been nice if this updated model could still be used with the previous model’s cups, but they can’t because they’ve changed the width. 

Needs a better locking mechanism for cannister, needs a little more power output.

Excellent blender! Love the easy instruction, operates very well and easy clean up and storage. Big in features and like the size it's a space saver.

You can make fantastic smoothies. Fruit and icees. Ice cream. You name it. It’s so easy and the hubby can do it and clean it up “all by himself “.

Excellent product. I have one already and was so impressed that I got 2 more as gifts. My family enjoys making milk shakes and smoothies

Poor design of seal / gasket allows food liquids to accumulate and spoil..requires a lot of clean up

Love the blender, the lip of one of the cups melted when washed in dishwasher. Since then have been washing the other cup by hand.

Powerful blender, this thing will grind it up. It gets the job done grinding ice or liquidfing anything.

Loud but very effective & super easy to clean, it will blend as much or as little as you want! Perfect for smoothies!

I have a Vitamix so my expectation was too high. The smoothie still had little chunks and not as smooth as I would have liked.
