Great pergola. I also have the 12x10 pergola. Both look great and classy. Easy to follow instructions. I would recommend at least two people on a couple of steps but most of it can be put together by one person.

This is an AMAZING pergola! Shipped quickly and was even better in person than photos depict. With two adults, we were able to assemble it in one day. Very pleased with item and would definitely buy again! Highly recommended!!

Boards on top were smaller than we expected and found it much cheaper after it was ordered. We thought we would get the best price through Sam’s but this wasn’t the case.

My wife wanted a pergola to shade our bedroom and we finally found one that worked for us. I surprised her by putting up in and 2 days by myself while she was out of town.

We love, love, love our new Pergola. We are Retired Seniors and took our time for assembly, it is very hot in Texas this time of year ;-) We decided to add an additional coat of Cedar stain prior to assembly and honestly it didn't take much stain as it was nicely finished when received so we could have forgone that step, it was not necessary. Assembly went very well, if something doesn't line up just loosen the hardware and retry, everything should go together well and did. The hardware was very good quality as was the Cedar wood, first class all the way. We recommend you watch several YouTube videos even if it is not your exact model for tips others have found along the build, it helps. We are recommending this as a nice project to do together and have the satisfaction of saying WE built this ;-) Get yours now before the tariffs ;-( Very happy in Texas with our new Pergola.

My husband and I put this up over a weekend with a little help from the neighbor. I would be careful following dimensions for the holes on here. I'm sure people are trying to be helpful, but when I took out the manual, the hole distances were different and had to re-dig holes. I would recommend buying better cement screws if putting in cement.

Hi and I'm happy with the pergola. All came out well, I had my son in law and a friend put it together, definitely one needs two persons to do it. I'm in South Florida, where hurricanes are a normal and though we have not been hit by a biggie in a few years, every year we do get one, so we drilled down some sort of anchors and if it comes, we will tighten the poles and some of the cross-bars with adjustable wraps. Finally I will try to paint it with wood protection, Winmax I think it's called, every year. Ah, I'm also going to have a manually retractable Canvas roof built because the sun is burning hence difficult to enjoy in the afternoons. I'm happy and the Pergola is on top of a cement slab in my backyard, not on grass. I recommend it!

Very nice-looking pergola! Assembly was a little tricky, but was accomplished in about six hours. There were a few aspects that we felt could have been better designed to make assembly easier and make the final product look cleaner/neater, but overall we were very happy with how wonderful it makes our patio look!

The kit was delivered to our driveway earlier that expected. We like the quality of the product and attention to detail. We hired someone to put it together and he was impressed with the thorough instructions and accuracy. One of the braces split when being installed. I called for a replacement and had it in a short time. Very helpful and friendly customer service. Our friends are impressed at the quality and price. So are we!

We love the look and style of this pergola and would definitely recommend this product. Do bear in mind however, that it DOES need two people to set up and if you are not handy with tools, its going to take you 4-6 hours or more to set up. As has been mentioned, the hardware can be a little tough as all the bolts/screws have been painted, but my husband was able to make them all work. Find screws and bolts that work together (some pairs worked together better than others) BEFORE you get on the ladder! We also had a few slightly warped boards which made some of the fitting a little tough but we were able to make it work and it didn't affect the look of the finished product. We thought we were going to have to make some recuts but boards that didn't fit at first fit as it went together. Also someone mentioned its not cedar but pine. My husband said the same thing: smells like pine, light weight wood and we had a little sap on the boards. Overall, we LOVE it and it really is a beautiful addition to our yard.
