We bought this a couple of months ago. It was very heavy to lift & put together. But once we had it up, it was definitely worth the work! Our small back yard needed something to make it look nice & this pergola did just that. It also made my backyard look bigger. I highly recommend this!!

I bought two of these for my back patio. I was able to build and install both by myself. Both went up and were fastened to the concrete in one weekend. I applied a clear weather protectant after install. No damage upon delivery, but some cracks/wood splitting has happened since it was built. Overall, I am happy with them and for the price, would do it again.

The delivery was on the exact date and time as arranged. Good start. The cardboard wrapping around the product (there were two long boxes) was heavy duty thereby protecting the product from shipping damage. There was no damage. That wonderful smell of fresh cedar permeated the room so I new the product was of good exterior quality. When we opened the boxes, it looked like some sort of AI (artificial intelligence) had packed them. A work of art in itself. I began to realize that this pergola package might be of high quality after inspecting the hardware. It was heavy and of high quality, individually labeled and it was all there. There were also paper instructions concerning the assembly which were reasonable but a hair intimidating. But fear not. Here’s the part that blew my mind. They include software by BILT intelligent instructions which you can download on your phone or iPad that show you step by step in a CAD format each step of the way. The pergola turned out fabulously.

My husband and I were able to assemble and build within the day it was delivered. It is beautifully made and it is as the description states. We love the new addition to our backyard and receive multiple comments. I would highly recommend this product!!

I wanted to use a Pergola for my Outdoir Patio. Wanted some shade but not too much. Backyard Discovery SOMERVILLE was a perfect fit and I love the barnwood stain color. The electricity hookup feature is an added bonus. At night the stringed lights we added give a warm, soft glow.

I have purchased 2 of these pergolas, one for each my front and back patio. I am a 58 yo female and have assembled them both with a little help from my daughters. I can’t say enough about the quality of this product. The kit comes with everything you need but a few tool, the directions are easy to follow and more importantly all of the pre-drilled holes are spot on. These pergolas are beautiful, substantial and top quality. Mine have been tested with 35 mph winds and held up great. I cannot recommend this product enough.

I would recommend this pergola it’s not very hard at all to build but be prepared to work a whole day on it or 2 part days. The BILT app simplifies this so use it don’t use the paper instructions. The only thing that the BILT app lacks is it doesn’t point out all the pre drilled wholes and it really should because it really sets you back if you miss it. Other than that I would build this app over again!

We purchase the Somerville 14 x 10 Pergola from Sam's Club last August. It took about 3 weeks to arrive, but it did come earlier than the expected time. The instructions were straight forward. I assembled this with the help of a friend. My wife did lend us a hand at some part during the assembly. We unboxed the pergola and did a quick parts check to make sure everything we needed was there. It took us one afternoon to put it together and we were able to finish before sunset. It has been a great addition to our backyard along with our turf install and pool and spa.

This pergola is a very solid piece, everything structurally has held up wonderfully. My only complain would be that the stain comes off easily we have quite a few spots the stain is just missing in which is frustrating but can easily be fixed with a coat of stain.

Great Pergola. Pretty solid. putting it together wasn't difficult. The provided paper instructions in my opinion was confusing but the app was excellent on instruction guidance. The slotted joist pre-drilled screw holes did not match the other predrilled holes to mount on. Some wood pieces were little warped but that's expected of wood. Overall I would recommend this Pergola. Would be nice to know what the finished sealer is so I can do some touch ups.
