This pergola is a very solid piece, everything structurally has held up wonderfully. My only complain would be that the stain comes off easily we have quite a few spots the stain is just missing in which is frustrating but can easily be fixed with a coat of stain.

durable but skuffed in several areas. the walnut finish was done by mediocre standards. I had to touch up the scratches by poor boxing up. had a issue with one board missing pilot holes. you will need a square to make sure the boards do line up. a few boards were warped. otherwise follow the instructions and it will look good. I plan on sealing the wood for weather in Cleveland Ohio.

I would give this Pergola a 5-star rating if the company provided a sunscreen option for later purchases. I have had my Somerville 10x14 Pergola for 3 years. We enjoy sitting outside on cooler days, my yard is directly under the sun for the majority of the day, and that sunscreen option has been truly missed every year. I have tried other companies to find a suitable cover or canopy, with little to no success.

I have looked out the widow every day, all winter long, looking forward to being able to sit outside and enjoy it! Finally, that time is here. We were able to sit outside yesterday and have dinner in the evening in our pergola. I love the bonus that there is an outlet. We hung some very cute Edison bulb lights that really add to the charm and ambiance! So happy with this purchase!

Originally we bought a 14x10 Somerville Pergola for an outdoor seating are by the pool, but after it was erected we liked it so much we bought an identical 2nd one, and when combined they will make a very nice 28x20 Orchid House with electricity for misting & heating. However, we still needed that outdoor seating area, so we bought a 14x10 Cordova Gazebo also. The fit & finish are excellent, and the they offer excellent value.

Yes we put together this pergola between our house and garage (breezeway) with cover to protect our doors from the elements and give us shade in summer. We did raise it 5” to clear top of doors to work better next to structures. Just have to finish them with cedar trim and we’re done. Happy with the design and character it gives our space. Tried to load photos but wouldn’t work.

We have had this pergola for about a year now and it has held up extremely well so far. We did paint it with a clear protectove coating. It looks great and we love the electric box. Made it very easy to hang a plug in fan in the corner. Great quality, 2 men a few hours to put together

We are in arizona so its great for the yard plus gives us some shade when we put corrugated metal sheets over the top that look and work great. Two smaller pieces of wood were slightly damaged but the company sent them straight out to us with no argument so that was good. have to say it really makes the yard look brilliant plus it came with the power unit so we can run electricity to it and from there we have things running like a small sound bar for relaxing to. Its pretty easy to put together, we found assembling the main rafters first helped as we could do it indoors, the only thing is you need two people to help put it together outside with the posts. Also like the plastic bases for the posts to sit on so the water from when it rains doesn't rot the bottoms of them. FYI when they deliver it they just leave it on the driveway, you have to move it yourself and it comes in two boxes.
