Printer requires you to purchase original HP ink only and the "free" ink plans comes with a cost. You have to download a printer app to set up the printer that doesn't tell you that you are required to use the ink that came with the printer or the printer won't print.

First of all I finally got the printer to print color yesterday, nearly 2 weeks after I received the printer. I spent 3 hours on the phone with the first technician and she said I merely have to change out the ink jet cartridges which didn't work. Within an hour a second technician got it to work in an hour. Also as to the 6 months free ink, the cartridges included in the box are only to last for about a month and then you are able to get free ink for 6 months if you are willing to sign up for automatic cartridge renewal at a fee when "they tell you" you need replacements by their on-line content status. As a snowbird I would not be in town 5 months from now and the automatic delivery would be to the porch of an empty house. They had no comment when I refused the offer.

This is the printer you want if you don't want all that e version installed just to be able to use the printer. Just download the software from hp and set it up as a usb instead of wireless. Love my printer.

HP is all i use because you never have to worry about running out ink i been with hp for over 6 years now get ink and paper delivered right to me. without asking for it. for a small fee a month.

Got a good deal on this printer and needed a wireless one. The setup was very easy and within about 10 minutes it was up and working. I still have to figure out how to Scan from the control screen. But it is printing just fine with nice color pages.
