Can is a good size in both compartments, and I love that it encourages my family to really consider what they are recycling and what needs to go in the trash. Has enabled us to cut back on trips to the outdoor can.....used to have to go out one or two times a day with a regular can and can now go two days without needing to dump. I'm a little concerned about durability....there was a pretty significant dent in the side of the can when received. I was able to pound most of it out with my hand but there is still a dimple......the square sides may lend themselves to more punishment. Overall, happy with results thus far.

It arrived as expected/described, fits my space well, quality is good, stainless steel looks nice. My only complaint is that I didn't quite realize how small the two compartments are. I understood that each compartment would be smaller than a regular sized kitchen trash basket, but I didn't realize it would be nearly half the space. I'm needing to empty the trash and recycling far more often than usual, am going through more trash bags, and recycling items tend to get stuck because I'm now always trying to jam everything in. We are a family of five producing a decent amount of waste, so this would be less of a concern for those living solo or couples. I must also note that the smaller dimensions of the two compartments are the same for all competitor products I could find. So if looking for a dual-compartment trash can / recycling bin, this fits the bill, looks nice, and is good value compared to pricier competitor products. I only wish they made such dual-compartment trash cans with slightly larger bins. A few inches wider would go a long way. Am currently debating whether to just go back to two separate bins, which doesn't look as nice but is far more practical. Before buying one of these, decide what you value more: looks or practicality.

I love everything about this item. I should have purchased it long ago. It is for the kitchen. No garbage should pile up in one's kitchen. It is a motivation to get garbage out instead of it piling up for days. So size it perfect. Material is perfect. Looks perfect. I love it!

This stainless steel trash can shipped out fast and arrived days before expected. It did have a small dent to one side and the back, but I used a small block of wood to "press out" the dimple and the dents are now less noticeable. They do have a tight seal to the lids and are amazing at keeping the odor level down. There are only two things that I would consider design "flaws". There is no bottom to the bins ( only cross bars) so I opted to keep the square shipping cardboard on the bottom inside the bin for added support. Also the metal used for the step-on pedal seems flimsy. I liked the over all look and value of this product that I have decided to take a chance that the pedals won't be the first part of this can to break.

I was worried would be too small for my family of 4. It was bigger than I anticipated and looks better than I expected in my kitchen. I agree with a previous review that the bags are difficult to stay up without showing when lid is closed. However a downside I'm willing to live with.

The bin looks nice but are not that functional. My complaint is with the size of the two individual sides. They are very small (much smaller than the standard 13 gallon can) so they fill up quickly. There's a ton of room still available in each 13 gallon bag we take out as a result, which is a huge waste. I also don't enjoy that there is no way to secure the bags at the top of the bins. They just kind of loosely sit in there and are constantly falling down. Also, the bin is HUGE and takes up a good bit of space. I would expect a better design for the price.

This is my second purchase of the same trash can. My first one lasted over three years, before the foot press attachment broke and the garbage can insorts chipped off on the top on the rim of the cans. Almost four years for the price, not bad! The trash can looks great and is very convenient for those that recycle. Opens only by foot! The old design had a hand and foot option.

I really like this garbage can! We needed a double can because we have a lot of recycling. This keeps our kitchen more organized, neat, and clean! I really like that the stainless steel looks good no matter what your décor style is. The lids sir flush against the sides so in order to open the lids you HAVE to step on the peddle. I really like this because my dogs can't bump the lid up or my young toddler can't throw away items on her own because she doesn't understand she has to step on the peddle. It's very nice quality and it even comes with it's own decals so you can label which side you want to throw away what kind of items (Trash, Recycling, Green -compostable items- etc.) Over all this trash can is perfect! I wish the individual bins were a tad bigger but that's not bad we just take out the trash more often.

I have been using this double bin trash can for almost two years. I started off with the smaller one but didn't like to have to empty the garbage and the recyclables once a day so upgraded to this big can. We love the look and we love the functionality even more! The can opening steppers have taking a lot of pounding and after two years, still work like day one. I love it so much that I just bought one for my friends who just bought a new home. They are loving it as much as I do. One little nit picking - I haven't found the right size garbage bag for the narrow bins as yet. But a regular size ones would do. One added bonus for you folks - It is now $50 less than 2 years ago. The fee shipping is pretty fast too. If you have the space in your kitchen, this double-bin will swallow up all the trash and recyclables a busy family can generate for a few days.

Bought to relieve our multiple small recycling vs trash issues. I went for the biggest size thinking a 13 gallon for trash and recycling each would work. When we pull out the trash bags (13 gal) allot of room is left. But it has been great to combine 3 small recycling containers to one. Would recommend. The only other note, each trash receptacle has a metal pull that we removed because they were not functional, but not a deal breaker ;) great value!!!
