It had a sweet taste but not overtly as if sweeteners have been added. I had it in salads, as one of my side vegetables with lunch and dinner. As fresh as canned vegetables can be. I was impressed by how firm they still were. Some canned and bagged vegetables can get quite soggy. I would purchase again.

I was so happy to get to review this product.< br>< br>I wound up "toasting" some of the corn to add vegetarian tacos, combining it with sauteed veggies, mexican cheese, lettuce, and diced tomato - as well as a bit of taco seasoning. It was perfectly sweet and I was surprised how well the corn held it's flavor as sometimes the canning process can really dull the taste of corn.&nbsp;< br>< br>We will definitely continue purchasing this and other canned veggies from the Del Monte brand.

I️ usually like to heat this up on the stove, add a bit of butter, pinch of salt, and a tiny bit of onion powder to add a little flavor to it which is super delicious it's also super quick and easy to heat up and serve! My husband got me making casserole. Never made one before. When i make my favorites one i use Del Monte. Its sweet but not sugary sweet. Elbow mac, shredded chicken (i use the leftovers from night before) cream of chicken soup. Cook mac and mix all in cake pan. Sprinkle Del Monte corn over the top then a layer of shredded cheese and a layer of crushed Ritz crackers.
