However, this one worked just as well as other brands I’ve used in the past. I was pleasantly surprised that it caused no irritation, burning, or discomfort, which is usually my main concern with these types of products. The spray was gentle, easy to use, and effective in providing relief. Overall, it performed exactly as expected and did not trigger any sensitivity issues for me. With fall arriving and allergies starting to act up I couldn’t wait to give this try. I take an allergy pill daily year round and also have to use a nasal spray during the spring and fall. The astepro is super easy to use and not much of a nasel drip in the back of the throat at all depending on how you hold your head of course and not a horrible after “taste” either. This actually starting working fairly quickly too and lasted pretty much the whole day. I would buy and use this again when I run out and keep on hand.

This Astepro Nasal Spray has the same ingredient as my prescription nasal spray - Azelastine, which I’ve used for years. This OTC version works just as well as the prescription. I use this nasal spray when my nasal allergies are at their worst - this nasal spray opens up my nasal passages quickly. There is a funny taste, but it’s definitely worth it to be able to breathe through my nose. I’m glad it’s available over the counter now.

The only downside is a slightly strange after smell, but it fades fairly quickly and is a small trade-off given how well it works. Considering it’s an antihistamine, this product successfully managed my nasal congestion without causing drowsiness. I want to clarify up front, that I have a hang-up about nasal sprays. They don’t tend to work for me for one, and two, not keen about destroying further my already bad sinuses ( had surgery for them and all). That being said, I did try this product in the past, and surprisingly it did work for me. However, I absolutely hated the fact that no matter what I tried, bending over, etc., it always shot down the back of my throat. Let me tell you, it does NOT taste good at all, and definitely was not trying to add it to my diet. Yuck. That kept me from using it altogether. My mother also got one to try, and she had the same issue with it shooting down her throat, but did like that it worked aside from that, so she was willing to keep using it, despite that flaw. The price is okay as far as nasal sprays go. I could not tell you from my experience if it is habit forming or rather makes your sinuses dependent upon it or not, since I gave up using it after a few tries. It does not seem to be an issue for my mother, however, she only uses it when she absolutely needs to.
