I purchased these containers thinking they would be the same as my previous PYREX set, but they are not. They are pyrex and not PYREX. The glass works fine, but the lids are horrible! They do not really seal all the way which leads to spills, leaking, and the smell of whatever is in the container filling up the refrigerator. Skip and purchase another glass set.

This 28-piece Pyrex glass bowl set is very cost effective. Good Job Sams. Our set's glass is unmarred, slightly thicker than some purchased individually over the years (interior diameter varies), and is made in USA. Pyrex glass pre-1998 was borosilicate and clear. The bluish color since then is due to the switch to soda-lime (like Ball™) - slightly less sudden-temp-change tolerant, but, honestly you should never be stressing glass anyway. The lids differ by the omission of a recycling #4 symbol - semi-meaningless but vintage Pyrex doesn't have it either. NO FLEXIBLE PLASTIC / RUBBER SHOULD ever BE HEATED - including these lids, which are for storage and transportation only. To microwave or oven-bake food, buy a few Pyrex glass covers just for that - available used & cheap by the thousands on auction sites. Measure the inside to get the right cover.

After months of debating to get rid of using my plastic food containers, I wish I made the switch sooner to glass! These Pyrex nesting glass bowls are so perfect! The nesting feature makes storing easy. They are dishwasher safe, microwave safe and make leftovers and fresh foods in the fridge easy to find.

If You are concerned about reheating leftovers in plastic. This is an excellent alternative. It goes from refrigerator to microwave without a hitch. I have two concerns about the product. The first is that overtime the lids will crack if you put them in the dishwasher so I never do and they continue to serve me well. My second concern is is the amount of space it takes to store them, so I recommend them with reservations

I really wanted to make the switch from plastic to glass and Pyrex has always been such a reliable brand, I was so excited to order this set. Unfortunately, this set is not air tight and will leak. If you are planning on using these for anything other than storing them upright in your fridge, consider ordering a different set. I tried using them to store my lunch for work, threw them in my backpack, and ended up with food everywhere :(

I Purchased this glass set because when I make red sauce it doesn't stain the bowl and you store food in the freezer so they cost more but you can do more. You do have to be careful because they are glass If you have a baby you store baby food and breast milk or store bought milk.

I didn't want circle containers bc of space issues (rectangles are just more efficient) but I thought, Pyrex is a good brand and there's a coupon, so let's do it. lots of small bowls. I'm not a TV chef, I don't need all these wee sizes with lids. But what caused me to seek a return is that one of them exploded in the dishwasher, five minutes into the cycle. A GAGILLION PIECES. Buyer beware.

Love this brand and thought the lids were such a cute color. It was cute until I put one in the dishwasher , as I have all storage bowls a thousand times, just to open it after the cycle to find the storage bowl shattered into 100 pieces. My dishwasher subsequently will have to be replaced, because it won't drain , likely due to tiny pieces slipping through the filter and drain plug.
