Very well built! Excited to use all year!

Love how this turned out! Built very well. Only difficult part putting it together was the roof which was expected. We have loved sitting underneath it in our backyard! My only complaint(suggestions?) would be to look into the design of the add-on mounted plug-in. Our first thing to plug in were programmable string lights and the plug doesn’t allow the cover to shut over the plug. We are now looking at alternative options to plug things in.

Great product.

I was very pleased with the quality of this product. The wood was very well prepared and the quality of the bolts and hardware were 100%!! I would highly consider this product. The instructions were well detailed via the images, but I think they could have add additional written instructions and tips.

Great Company & Quality Gazebo

I just completed the staining and assembly of the Barrington 14x12 gazebo. You won’t find a better company than Backyard Discovery for pre-sales & installation support, quality materials, 5 yr. warranty, and beautiful design. We are extremely pleased!!!

Worth the work!

I love my gazebo! Took some time to sort and organize the pieces. Did some preliminary putting together of smaller parts in the garage. Then it took about 1 1/2 days with 3-4 adults to assemble it. The corner roof pieces were tricky but prying open a side to slide them up helped. It keeps my furniture dry underneath for the most part (unless it’s pouring and windy, then a few cushions may get wet,)

Mostly great tutorial

Love these CAD based tutorials. Only critique - none of the part numbers on roof sheet metal pieces matched those listed in these directions. I was able to use judgement and process of elimination to figure it out however this did cause a bit of stress and confusion which translated to additional unnecessary build time.

Love the gazebo but the installers…omg

The build quality is great, instructions great, the ‘out of the box’ installers.. not so great. It took them 2 days and I had to help otherwise things would have been skipped or missed. The individual roof panels have a cap edge that that they would have been forgotten which would have been a nightmare as when the heavy roof panels are in place another slide on piece covers the 2 adjoining cap pieces. As it was, they messed up one cap edge by not screwing it in the middle -you could see the sky looking up from under the gazebo- so I had to lean in on the roof and reach in to add a couple screws so the covering piece would slide on. They forgot to install 2 covering boards on the 16’ sides, which I had to add.. they drilled 1/4” holes for 1/4” tapcons meaning they had no holding power (you could unscrew them from the concrete by hand) so I had to buy 5/16” tapcons for the 1/4” holes. A few days after they left, I added 4-5 bolts they missed.. For the installed cost, you’d expect more tech know-how than the installers I got. Love the gazebo, it was worth every penny and structurally very impressive but the installers….

Good kit for the money

10x14 gazebo. Went up well with just me except for setting up post beams and roof panels where I needed help. Took me a couple weeks working 4 hrs a day. Parts of the instructions aren't clear and you've got to pay attention. I installed the facia trim UNDER the steel roof panels to act as a drip edge as I didn't want water running off the roof onto support beams. The power port could use a couple usb-C ports. Parts were all there but a couple wood parts had cracks and needed glue and screws. Overall, it's a good kit. I'd give it 4.5 stars.

Highly recommend!

We bought one of these a year ago and just love it! We don't have a garage so when the weather is bad I pull my SUV under it. This spring we had two different days of 80 mph straight line winds. It blew a healthy mature tree over, uprooting it. The gazebo is just fine with absolutely no damage. My husband and grown sons put it together and although it took a while it wasn't too bad. Lots of boxes/pieces but if you get them organized before you start it helps.

Summer project.

Excellent instruction. Only installing the trim, the video shows the wrong pieces for the 14 foot side. The 14 pieces should be on the 12 foot and the 12 should be on the 14. The right pieces are showned in the manual. This is something that should be addressed. Other than that, great instructions.

If I can do it …

If you go slow and take your time it’s not that bad to put together, even for your average homeowner. It took me and a friend 1 full day and 3 half days (after work). That doesn’t include sorting the wood and removing plastic. That took a couple hours as well with 2 people. It also comes with a lot of the bits you will need. We got away with a small ladder until it came time for the 16’ panels. Then we needed a 6’ in the middle and we used a bench to step up on for the people holding the base. It took 2 husbands and 2 wives to get the roof up! It’s really heavy and you will definitely need at least 3 It really wasn’t that bad, and it felt good to be able to say I put that together for guests that come by. The only issue I have is even though we were able to get all the pilot holes to line up, we still had to make cuts for the metal roof to cover the entire frame. It actually states this in the directions multiple times. (If the wood is too long, cut it!) Not really what I like to see as the homeowner that took his time to make sure everything was lined up because I didn’t want to cut it. There’s also another part where it states is crucial to being able to get the roof on the frame. However, the area they give you to measure is in the air next to the frame over the shoulder area, so you are left kind of guessing if you’re in the right spot. Besides those , pretty straightforward install. Things sweet.
