[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For a package set of knives these are absolutely fantastic. Out of the box they are extremely sharp and 6 months later they are still holding an edge very well. The self sharpening thin seems a little gimmicky at first but does help bring the edge back after a lot of use. My only critique is that the edges of the spine of the blade aren’t softened at all and after a lot of cutting, it can really rub on your fingers.

I absolutely loved how the knifed felt and cut, that was 10 years ago. Each year I would try to buy myself but something always got in the way. This Christmas I received a Hinckley Self Sharpening knife set as a gift. I have used this set from the first day received it and absolutely love it as much as I did 10 years ago. AMAZING!!!

The knives are super sharp, I slightly tapped my knuckle on the edge of one while cleaning them and instantly blood started gushing. Just from a little tap. They cut through poultry like butter. We’re very pleased.

They feel very well balanced and have a good feel to them. The block is very impressive and has a beautiful finish to it. The ceramic sharpening rods do a great job of keeping a keen edge to the blades.

My only complaint is it says dishwasher safe but the blades were discolored on my set after running it through the dishwasher once. I recommend hand washing this set.
