The Pie Is Good, But Your Honesty Isn't

I rated your product five stars. It tastes good, it tastes home made. But as others here have stated, shrinking your pie by one whole ounce and then going on about business as if none of us would notice was deceptive and sleazy. Better to have kept the 16 oz size and raised the price a bit. Look, most of here understand inflation and rising costs - be it with gasoline or food or housing. You can't keep selling these pies at 1980's prices, and we understand that. But the way you handled this fact of life by pretending these pies have ALWAYS been 15 ounces instead of 16 was tacky.

pretty good except for adding of celery

The chicken pot pie is good but could do without the celery this is one of my favorite dinners but don't like the celery in it seems like every tome I find a meal you make you have to add to it or change the recipe its like the old saying goes if it ain't broke don't fix it when you have a good recipe why do you change a good thing . Not everyone likes celery in a pot pie it changes the taste . I'm getting very disappointed in your products because your company keeps changing the original recipes. I guess I will have to change frozen dinner companies if these changes continue. Original recipes are the best not new and improved . New and improved recipes SUCK. My rating of this company is declining quick . Keep making changes to the recipes and I will quit purchasing your products. You have already ruined several of my favorites by changing the recipes

Loved the Pot Pies!

My husband and I don't usually buy frozen dinners. As I get older, I don't wish to cook every night for the two of us (two children on their own). Your Chicken Pot Pie (16 oz.) (what I chose) and your Beef Pot Pie (my husband's choice) were excellent. The pie crust was excellent as well. I know that I will try many more of your products. Can't wait to get to the grocery store! Thank you.

Crust always burns

We used to eat your pot pies as our go to easy dinner on nights I couldn't cook. They were a big hit and every one loved them . They always cooked evenly and came out perfect. I am disgusted since you changed your box the crust always burns always. You used to have a superior product with an awesome flaky crust and now I either have under cooked pie or burnt crust. Let me know when you fix the box and we will buy again.

Wow! You Don’t Expect Something This Good!

I’m hesitant to say this, for fear of a run on the stores and they’ll all sell out before I can replenish my stash, but this is the very best chicken pot pies that you can buy!!! Just feels healthy when you eat it. Tastes as good or better than homemade! Tear off the top of the individual carton, nuke it in the microwave for 5 minutes, then rest in the microwave for another 5 minutes, and you have a whole meal that is surprisingly inexpensive and ready to eat in just 10 minutes!

DELICIOUS

This is by far the BEST chicken pot pie!!!! Actually does have chicken (that tastes like chicken). Nice size chunks, moist and yummy! Kudos for the vegetables carrots, celery, and peas. The vegetables are not mushy and bland, but very flavorful!!!! This has become my "go-to" meal! Great job!!!

MC LASAGNA

Ummm...so it has been probably 5 or 6 years since I have had a MC frozen dinner. I just want to say that after microwaving this meal and taking a bite, it was better than I ever remember. Microwaves can often times ruin or overcook frozen meals. MC has their timing and packaging on point and I will start to use them as a lunch a couple days per week at work. Marie, great job, great team and great product!

Delicious But Burned

I usually cook the pot pies in the oven because it's the best way to cook anything. I love the chicken pot pie and I have nothing bad to say about the taste our the quality of ingredients, I love Marie Callenders! However, I cooked it for 6min in the microwave because I took one with me to work. The package says 5 1/2-6 1/2 minutes but because my microwave is a lower wattage, I just cooked at the average time. the whole bottom burned to the bowl and most of the filling as well. I only got to eat about half of the pot pie.

Unpleasant taste and structure

Pot pie crusts should be light and airy and enhance the taste. MC chicken pot pies have a heavy, thick crust that is basically inedible unless you are starving. The crust dominates the pie, lending the whole pie to taste like overly-cooked dough. The chicken also has an unpleasant taste. One wonders if MC ever actually ever ate one of these pies, as if they did, they wouldn't sell them. A much better pie is the KC chicken pot pie for a starting benchmark. The MC pot pies are overpriced too. They should be pulled from stores until they can put out an edible pie.

Best on the market

Hello Marie Callender ! I have to contact you to compliment you on a product well done ! I love chicken pot pie and have tried many.....they're all okay but not great....since I LOVE the pastry crust on the desserts and always buy the frozen pie crust for Thanksgiving...I decided to try the pot pie.....good choice.....the flavor is terrific...veggies are not mushy and of course the crust is fantastic as always....sometimes there are a few pieces of chicken that come out a little rubbery that 's why only 4 stars but overall the best frozen pot pie on the market...Thank You
