your pot pies are nasty

Chicken/turkey pot pies are about as good as the old Banquet pies. They have a vague/strange poultry flavor that is a concoction of chemicals and more artificial flavorings. When a person bakes one, turns it up side down on a plate to see if it is fully done, one sees that it is just a sparce quarter filled serving of a few vegetables, mostly a nasty broth and then just a lot of dough. It's not a meal. Those chunks of white meat are tasteless. Yuk. You spend a lot of money on presentation and promotion when you should fill it up with some good vegetables and some dark meat for flavoring.

Perfect on a cold, wet day!

I love these. The chicken actually tastes like chicken; the carrots and peas taste like carrots and peas...the carrots almost crunch! I'm retired and semi-disabled. These little satisfying pies are perfectly adaptable for my arbitrary meal time needs. Thank you. They could only be better by using organically grown veggies...please!

not recommended

The chicken pot pie has virtually no chicken in it and it wasn't even chicken. it was more fat and gristle. Where were the vegetables? Half a dozen pieces of carrots & a dozen peas? The pies contained far too much sodium. Certainly not a healthy meal if you can call it a meal.

Good taste, but....

Overall, I really like MC's foods. However, the small chicken pot pies are a disappointment with the amount of food you actually get. Too much crust and a lot of space between the crust and the actual fillings, especially with the price. I can buy at least 3 other brand's pot pies for one of MC, and get much more fillings that way. The taste is good, just very lacking in terms of amount for what you pay.

Best Frozen Pot Pie

I have tried several different brands of pot pies, and Marie Callender's are by far the best I have tried. Crispy, flaky crust (& I don't normally eat pie crusts), big chunks of meat and vegetables. I have tried all of the flavors, and haven't found one I haven't enjoyed!

Love the Taste, BUT...

Your chicken pot pies taste great, but only if I let them thaw and cut the entire bottom and sides of crust off, add water to the bottom of the pan and then cook with only the top crust. This adds more gravy so the pie doesn't get caught in my throat because all the original gravy has been soaked up by the crust, causing me to hack like a cat with a fur-ball. It also takes less time to cook and the top crust doesn't burn in a regular oven or microwave. If you offered this idea as an option, I'm sure it would be received really well because it would contain less calories and carbs and more edibility for any person who wants a quick and nutritious meal in a hurry

Disappointed in meat and instructions on how to cook.

I BOUGHT A CHICKEN POT PIE AND FOUND SKIN AND GRISTLE IN THE POT PIE. THE CHUNKS OF CHICKEN WERE GOOD BUT NOT VERY MANY. THE TASTE WAS GOOD AND THE CRUST WAS FLAKEY. THE VEGETABLES WERE GREAT. I WOULD HAVE LIKED TO HAVE THE INSTRUCTIONS OTHER PLACES THAN THE BOTTOM OF THE BOX BECAUSE IT WAS HARD TO READ THEM ONCE YOU STARTED THE COOKING PROCESS (microwave). PERHAPS HAVING THE DIRECTIONS ON THE SIDE OF THE BOX WOULD BE BETTER!

pictures are deceiving

decent amount of chicken but only 3 slices of carrot and about a dozen peas. The picture makes it appear the pie is full of veggies,or at least product but it doesn't even come close. I thought there were laws against this kind of deception. Cheap Banquet pies contain as much.

I Love the Pot Pie but...

I recently purchased a four pack of the Chicken Pot Pies. Now, I love the Marie Callender's Pot Pies but not the multipack. The bag method for heating the pie does not produce the same outcome as heating the pie in the box. You lose a lot of the gravy and it doesn't brown as well. I am very disappointed and will only by the individual pies from now on.

GOING DOWNHILL

We have been eating these for many years now. Love the flaky crust & the sauce is very flavorful without tasting overly salty. BUT...we getting really stingy with the chicken & the vegetables are a joke. They show all of these vegies pouring out on the box image & when it comes to broccoli...don't expect any of the flower...mostly stem & very little at that! OK if you want crust & sauce.
