Better than others I've tried

I had my first MC chicken pie tonight, and I agree with another reviewer that there are too many carrots in it. Basically, it is peas, carrots, chicken and sauce in a flacky crust. I thought the crust was fine. I would have liked more sauce. I also got a questionable piece of chicken which I didn't like. Overall, I liked it, though the old Stouffer's pies were better. Now, the Stouffer's are awful. This is much better.

Chicken pot pies small ones

I really like your chicken pot pies, I always buy the bigger one. The store was out of then so I bought the smaller one and When I cooked it, it was bad. The top and bottom crust did not cook properly I ended up throwing out three pies. I am planning on calling your company with the information. This is the first time anything like this has happened in all the years I've bought your product.

Love the new box

Definitely a once-in-a-blue-moon treat. I absolutely love these but the calorie content is SO high. Are they really trying to say that there are 2 servings? I don't cook mine as long as the package states, I normally stop just before 8 minutes so I guess it just depends on the microwave you are using.

Quality Control? Really?

I scooped up a spoonful of pot pie and bit into it and ended up breaking my bridge on something hard (we thought it was a big chunk of bone. It turned out to be a desiccated piece of chicken. Their insurance denied reimbursing us and we're going to have to go to court over it even though their Lab says it was in the product when it was shipped. Not good.

Why Change What Worked?

I really, really liked your chicken pot pie. It was my guilty pleasure. My last two were not up to your usual deliciousness. I bought a single pie and it did not have much gravy and the bottom crust was hard to release from the pan. I had to scrape it out. I tried again by buying the four pack. I am SO disappointed. These are not the same pies I used to eat the last couple of years. I never eat the chicken, I always save it for my dog. I add more frozen peas and I'm a happy camper. Please bring back the old recipe.

Tough top crust, raw bottom crust

I like this pot pie but since they've changed to a topless box for cooking the top crust is done WAY before the bottom crust. I tried cooking on Hi 16 minutes and that bottom crust was still just dough, though the top was getting dry and hard. I leave the bottom half for the dogs. I guess that cuts the calories too :-)

Carrots were like eating a rubber band.

I've eaten this product previously but this is the last time. There were seven slices of carrots - I ate one which was like trying to chew and eat a rubber band - the other six I fished out and discarded. After cooking there was mostly a void area above the gravy and a few pieces of chicken and a few peas.

Stay making Dessert pies only

Over the past 50 years I have eaten many individual meat pie by many different companies.today we cooked up 2 pies, Turkey Pot Pie and Cheesy Chicken and Bacon pot pie, which proved to be of the poorest quality and taste possible.I love Marie Callenders desert pies, they are a regular in our home so thought the meat pies would be of good taste and quality.Very bad decision, never ever again.

Great crust no filling.

My wife and I have been eating your 10 oz chicken pot pies for many years. They were a good quick hot meal. Lately the filling has be come less and less to the point that we will no longer buy these small pies. We still enjoy the family size pie. If you look at the picture you have on the 10 oz box you will see a pie filled with filling, this is not what you are selling. If you can't make a quality product for the price you are charging then raise your price or stop making these items while your reputation is still intact.

Pot Pie quality decline

I used to Love Marie Callender chicken pot pies, they were absolutely the best & worth the higher cost. Now, I can safely say I will never buy them again, because of the severe decline of the quality! It still tastes good, but not as good as it did, because there is such a small amount of contents, most of the taste is crust. We've had this issue before, but tonight I finally decided to do more than eat & complain to myself. This latest encounter, I bought the 10 oz packages for 6 people in my family. Everyone was eating theirs before I started mine, & since they complained about how there was almost nothing there, I decided to count mine. So I dumped it on a plate & discovered I had a whopping 5 small pieces of chicken, 11 peas & 5 small carrot pieces. Couldn't measure the gravy, but there was almost none. Looking at other reviews, I can see I'm not the only person who's had this experience. Marie Callender used to be synonymous with quality - NOT ANYMORE!
