Quality has gone down over the years.

I have eaten MC's chicken and turkey pot pies for years, yet, as I sit here eating a MC's chicken pot pie, i realize that I no longer enjoy them as I used to. Where once there was an abundance of vegetables in them, now there is all of maybe a little over a tablespoon. The gravy used to be quite thick, now it is not. And what happened to the pot pies that had brocolli In them? Now they are nowhere to be found. I will not be purchasing MC pot pies in future until the company changes things up. I just am not enjoying this pot pie in front of me.

On your pot pies

I feel that these pot pies are terrible. They hardly have any substance except for pastry. I am going back to Banquette- at least one can get more than 7-8 chicken pieces, a few peas, and a few other vegetables. I believe that Marie Callender can do MUCH better for the price!

Yummy Chicken Pot Pies

These pot pies are so good! The crust is light and flaky and browns even in the microwave. Large chunks of white meat chicken in a light and creamy gravy with carrots and peas. Standing at the stove cooking is difficult for me, so this is a great and easy meal. I always have a box of these in my freezer.

Dissatisfaction

I've eaten dozens of MC chicken pies over the past ten years and it's my observation that your quality control has slipped appreciably. Last evening, the pie I prepared contained very little chicken, and what was there was mostly gristle. Very unappetizing. Please reverse this decline In your quality.

Change the box back!

Loved these till you took the crisper lid out the boxes! Still works good in the oven, but I don't always have 60 min to spend cooking. 5 min in a 1000w microwave with the crisper top and it was amazing, just like being in the oven. Now it's just a soggy mess! I guess some Exec figured you could save .xxx cents per box without the silver lid right? Won't be buying these anymore now.

I call fraud.

The picture on the front shows way more vegetables and meat than what is actually in the pie. Today I counted 6 peas, 3 carrot slices and 5 cubes of chicken in the entire pie. It's all crust. I would call the picture a BIG FRAUD!!!! Why would a company be so dishonest!!!!

Not even 1 star!

I have stopped buying MC chicken pot pies. They have too much thick crust , too much gravy, not much chicken or veggies. I used to be able to "doctor" them up with extra veggies & chicken. No more! Definitely not worth the money for these salty, calorie-laden nothings. I didn't even want to rate this 1 star.

Packaging change has ruined the pie

What was once a delight to eat has been ruined by a (recent?) change in the packaging. Old packaging had a top over the pie that had some sort of foil-looking design, which cooked the pie so perfectly it was almost too pretty to eat - raised, golden crust that was CRUSTY. Now, we tear off the top of the package to cook the pie. The end result is a sunken, mushy vaguely brown and cracked pie top that is the substance of a dumpling, not a pie. Very disappointing. Used to be my favorite pot pies. Used to be a simple pleasure to eat. Now I'll not buy another. Badly done, Marie Callender, badly done.

pot pies

I usually do not like pot pies of any kind. But recently my husband and I tried pot pies made by Marie Callender and they are great. Pop them in the microwave for ten minutes and the crust turns out flaky and flavorful and the filling is great too. Great for a quick meal.

Super yummy

I have always loved Marie Callenders, growing up in LA Palma CA. We visited the restaurant off of Oragethorpe. Moving to South Dakota I was glad to see the name is the frozen foods at the local grocery store. Until late today I have never been dissatisfied. The meat was hard and there was a fatty piece. I will continue to buy them, but I wanted you to know about this one time
