Chicken Pot Pie...Creamy Mushroom

Was disappointed in the satisfaction of taste of the Chicken Creamy Mushroom Pot Pie....bought two and baked in conventional oven....crust turned nice brown...and gravy even came out over the crust....nice pieces of white chicken....but somehow the satisfaction of taste was not there....shared info with 2 friends and they said the same. Not what I remembered from past pies....do not know what has happened?????

Heavy on the crust, light on the filling

I bought a couple of these thinking a 1 pound pot pie would make for a good dinner. Well, I was quite disappointed. The crust was thick and hard and the filling was meager - it certainly didn't come close to filling the void within. I also encountered two inedible pieces of something - hard and unrecognizable. Maybe I got a bad one - which would be a problem with consistency and quality control. I have another and will try it soon.

Terrible

I recently purchased a 4 pack of Chicken Pot Pies. After cooking pie, following the directions on the package, waited the 5 minutes and served the pie. There was no gravy in the pan, it was dry, hard and tasted burnt. I will never purchase another Marie Callender product or recommend them to anyone. This is not the first time this has happened, I just wrote it off before. I am tired of paying out good money and receiving a poor product in return... Live and learn, I guess... 5014 6019 00 P3 08:15 P45 Best if used by Jul 12 2017

Chicken is tough and gristly

It's been several years since I purchased a Marie Callender Pot Pie and this will probably be my last. I remember they were always so good, just about as good as my homemade, but EVERY bite of chicken was tough and gristly. The crust is good and the gravy is good, but not the chicken. Not worth the money and a definte turn off when you bite into bad chicken and have to spit it out. Sorry Marie, you need higher quality chicken.

disappointed

I have been purchasing your chicken pot pies for quite some time. Yesterday I purchased 2 more and commented on the fact that the size looked smaller. Well - it is smaller. Checked my old receipts and yes - size is smaller and so was price at Walmart by about 50 cents each. My point is - the smaller pot pies are not considered a meal by my husband and I and they sure were lacking content. Please bring back what used to be the regular/individual pot pie. I don't have a problem paying 50 cents more for a satisfying pot pie. Don't tell me to buy the family size as that is too big and the content was also lacking in that pie. Thanks

Inferior product

The chicken pot pie was a huge disappointment. The misleading TV commercial, that I see a few times a day, shows a pie being prepared with a roasted chicken on the table. The filling appears very thick and abundant. In no way does it resemble the pie you sell. The "chicken" in the pie was a disgusting sponge-like cube. Apparently it is some synthetic processed product containing flavorings to resemble chicken meat. There were a scarce amount of peas and carrots in a thin soupy liquid. The only tasty part of the pie was the top crust. I baked it in the oven and the bottom crust was doughy. After waiting 45 minutes for it to cook, I forced myself to eat this poor excuse for food. Would never buy this product again.

Excellent Quality and Taste

Great autumn dish, Lots of Chicken and Veggies. No Fat. Nice Sauce. Taste is very good, wish it had less salt.... Do not understand why the directions say cannot be made in Toaster Oven. I don't like them from Microwave, and seems ridiculous to heat up the big oven for one pie.... Anybody know?

Totally awesome meal!

Just had my first chicken pot pie. It was so good! The crust was crisp (I used the oven), the ample chicken tasted roasted! Just right creamy gravy. I was mostly satisfied with the quantities of vegetables. Not at all like the picture but adequate. I am stuffed because I ate the whole thing!

Impossible to Keep Filing in Pie

These pot pies taste great - but it's impossible to keep the filling in the pie. While cooking in the microwave - the filling spills out into the box and seeps through the box and sticks to the microwave plate. I've tried everything - cutting slits in the crust, removing a piece of crust, curving the rim upwards - nothing works.

Microwave

These pot pies are great made in the microwave. Not too many things cook well in the microwave but these pot pies are an exception. Follow the directions on the box to a t and you will have a pot pie as good as one made in the oven, including a brown crust.
