not like they used to be

For years we have bought Marie Callender pot pies. The last few years some changes have been going on. The crust now is hard as rock and not at all pie like. It's too bad because the filling is yummy and generous. We've switched over to another brand of pot pies. The crust is real pie crust. To us, the crust is important. You can always doctor up the filling.

Just like my mom used to make

I hadn't eaten a pot pie since my mom made them for me 40 years ago. My wife bought yours because they were easy for me to cook. ( I'm off work due to medical issues) I just wanted to say they brought back some wonderful memories from my childhood, and to tell you to keep up the good work!!!!

Quality is declining

I have always loved Marie Callender's Chicken Pot Pies. Obviously, so do a lot of other people, since a big box store sells packages of 8 at the time. But the amount of meat seems to be going down, and now I just got gristle in one I was eating. It happened two times in the same pot pie. I have to wonder if they are cutting corners because of the economy or what. I prefer to pay more and have good quality than have junk. Homemade are obviously better, but much more work. I suppose I will need to resort to that if the quality continues to decline. Bummer.

lacked ingredients

This pie had 4 peas, 5 sm. pieces of carrot and 7 small pieces of chicken. That's it. I haven't eaten one of these pies for a few months but do remember that they had a great deal more to them than this. The end result being that what I got for my cost was a very few pieces of actual food surrounded by crust. The amount of food in this pie would only be adequate for a young child about 4 or 5. What has happened to your product??

Not the same...

I have purchased your pot pies for years and can't help but expressing my disappointment in the standards you have reduced to. The crust is still excellent but the filling is watery, the ingredients are skimpy and the chicken pieces are disgusting. They are spongy and do not taste like quality cuts of meat. Please listen your customers and make appropriate changes! We want to love Marie Callenders again!

Hardly any chicken or vegetables

I purchased a large box of pot pies. I was very disappointed, as these used to be good. The crust is good but the picture on the front shows the pie loaded with chicken, celery, peas & carrots. There were only 3 or 4 pieces of chicken & only about 3 pieces of carrot, a few peas & no celery, VERY disappointed. False advertising!

Great crust, little filling

Tried several frozen Marie Calendar Chicken Pot Pies, the smaller size, one serving. The crusts are fantastic, but the amount of filling is ridiculous. Overall, the pies had a few bits of carrot, a couple of pieces of chicken, and some peas. Even the gravy was skimpy. What I have done to make the pies into a meal is to buy frozen mixed vegetables when I buy the pot pie. I heat a cup of the mixed vegetables with some cream, then add to pot pie. That gives a decent amount of vegetable with gravy to accompany the crust.

Thanks for the feedback. We're glad you enjoy the crust so much, but we'll let our team know that you'd like to see more filling inside the pot pie. We always want you to love our food so we hope you'll consider giving us another try and thanks for being a big fan!

So bad it's a crime

Used to be the very best frozen pot pie on the market. Not any more. There is nothing I can say good about what was once the best. Why they had to mess with such a great product I'll never understand. To save money I'm sure... What was a flakey crust now hard and little to no flavor. The sauce, the vegetables, hard to find. It used to overflow with good chicken, lots of veggies, and a great creamy sauce, like mom used to make if not better. No more Very sad!!! :( You guys in the boardroom should stop and taste one. What happen?

Has pie changed?

My wife and I eat a lot if your chicken pot pies, but have noticed a change??? It is suddenly all dough, no filling. We are looking to try other brands as we are very dissatisfied with this product. Please retain a loyal Customer and change the recipe! Thanks,

Great crust, too dry.

My husband and I have always loved your crust. Doesn't matter if it's on pot pie or dessert pie. We have always liked your pot pies, but have always felt they were too dry. Your gravy is very tasty. I'm sure it wouldn't cost too much to add a little more. Don't know if you actually listen to these reviews or just let people vent. If you do change recipe put it in ads as we are thinking of not buying due to this reason alone. Thanks
