Gross

Used to buy the ones sams carried a while back and they were awesome. They had texture and some heat. Could not find them in the store so I got these. Gross. Mushy crap, threw away a new jar.

Love These Little Hotties

My favorite jalapeños next to Trappey’s. I always place them in the fridge for a few days and allow them to get that crunch which also tend to get a bit spicier over time. Simple review which hopefully adds some nice spice in your life.

Something changed

These used to be my family's go to jalapeños..... they had enough kick bit wasn't ovewhelming..... these no longer tasted like pickled jalapeños and more like you are just eating a jalapeño in water. Completely unbearable now to eat

Not Good!

Loved the big jar of Vlasic Jalapeno Slices. Walmart must have done away with the Vlasic jalapeno slices. I tried these and they are not good at all. Soggy, mushy and nasty flavor. Don't waste your money on these as they are horrible! Bring back the Vlasic!

Not Much Heat

My husband and I used to purchase the Vlasic brand "Hot" jalapeno peppers but they are no longer carried in any of the stores in my area. These La Costena jalapeno peppers now take up 99% of the jalapeno section at both Walmart and Kroger, so we figured we'd try them out. These peppers do not have a good flavor in my opinion and they have next to no heat compared to the Vlasic brand. I really couldn't recommend them to anyone. I just didn't enjoy them at all and neither did my husband. This brand is crunchy, I can give them that much, but when it comes to heat and flavor, they just are sub-par compared to Vlasic. For anyone trying to find Vlasic, at this time they are still being carried on walmart.com, so you can purchase them through here.

Great for condiment use

For condiment use, these are by far the best. Not too hot, very inexpensive and good flavor. They are a bit mushier than fresh jalapeños as the previous comment stated, but for those applications where you need a crunchy texture, you should use fresh jalapeños anyways. This is a good working mans jalapeño. Put these on a baked potato with some sour cream and cheddar cheese and you will be in heaven.

Excellent size and taste for our family of 10.

I have 7 kids and we have 10 people living in our home and enjoying these Jalapeno daily! To tell you we go thru one jar of these per week. They are so good value and taste. We put them in burritos, eggs, soups, hot dogs, chicken and tuna sandwiches. The jar size is affordable!

Great Jalapeno's!

Absolutely love these! Running a food truck you learn what works & what doesn't. This works, customers love the taste of the product when combined with nacho cheese, it enhances the flavor. Plus, when the jar is finished I have the jalapeno juice left, that I use as a mixture for sauces.

Big jar, small price!

Customers love these in omelettes, wraps, on the side to just "pick". We always ask, do you want it "wild" or mild when they ask for the jalapenos! They are great sauteed and put over melted cheese on a big platter of French fries, they usually lick the plate!

La Costena, you need to call Valsic.

Had been getting these for some time at Sams club & Walmart if cheaper until we purchased the Valsic Hot Jalapenos. Day & night difference. the Vlasic ones have flavor, are crisp & are not bland. With what seems to be a store wide Walmart initiative to reduce selection across the same shelf space keeping the more bland or basic of selections, the Vlasic are now only available to order online. I hope this availability continues. (or better yet, start stocking in the stores again) La Costena, I don't know what you do to make yours so soggy in compared to the Valsic & kill the flavor, but would appreciate if you could figure that out to make your product better.
