Customer reviews for Generac GB1000 Portable Power Station GB1000 Battery Generator forGame Changer
Bought this right after the hurricane and Georgia is absolutely wonderful. The charging time is less than a couple hours. However, I have another one but their charging time is six hours. This blows circles around. However, I have another one, but the charging time is six hours. This blows circles around it. I will say to anyone who up this portable charging station will absolutely love it! Genrac truly lives up to its name!
Generac GB1000 Portable Generator
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Generac genuinely impressed me with its portable power station designs. It offers excellent power output, includes a wide range of outlets and ports, and many additional features. To charge this unit, it's as easy as to plug the power station into the wall to charge and recharge it after use. So convenient and easy. If you're looking for clean portable power this it. Lithium-ion battery-powered generators are a great way to get portable power where you need it when it’s unsafe or unwise to use a gas generator. The output is “clean” energy, so it’s perfectly safe to run/charge your sensitive electronics. Just keep in mind the higher the energy needs of what you’re using, the faster you’ll drain the battery. This will be so useful on the go or when the power goes out and my husband is not around to get our gas powered generator going. Another nice feature Generac has a display that shows you the active output in watts along with an estimated remaining runtime on an LED display. Here are a few examples of what can be ran. A Refrigerator, Coffeemaker, TV and Blu-ray playerd, fans, and Lights. Generac includes a generous amount of outlets and ports for charging on its portable power station. There are three 120V outlets, two USB-A ports, two USB-C ports, and a 12V car outlet. Also a wireless charger. You can use as many of these as you want at once as long as you don’t draw more than 1600 continuous watts. Although the more watts you use the faster it uses the charge. We tested all this out and everything ran beautifully, so when the next storm hits and the power goes out, I am confident this will be a life saver. Everyone needs one of these for it portability and dependability.
Great Back up
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This arrived in the aftermath of a tropical storm, couldn't have been a better time. I was able to get it fully charged before we completely lost power in our camper. This was enough to keep us going. Fridge was cold and water was hot, not to mention we had lights to see. I love how quiet it is and the wireless charger works great to charge our phones. We were not left in the dark!! This is a great addition to our storm gear.
Excellent product!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What a great backup power generator! Not only is it sturdy and built to last, but it is incredibly functional. With multiple inputs and outputs, you’re sure to always be able to have emergency power at your fingertips.
Great
As a Generac employee, I was invited to test the product in exchange for my honest feedback. Myself and my close friends and my family were really impressed with the GB1000. The unboxing experience was straightforward, and we found the documentation was helpful. The first night it was in my possession, my friends and I put it through its paces, plugging in a portable heater and a car vacuum and charging a power tool battery pack as well as our phones. The GB1000 was more than capable of handling all the load we could throw at it, and calmly and quietly went about its business dispensing a steady stream of power to all devices. We liked the large colour screen as much for its clarity as for the vital information it displays, including input and output wattage and battery life but also the estimated total battery life in hours. This last read-out is dynamic, and changes based on how much power the GB1000 outputting; valuable information that lets you know how much time is left before you need to recharge. The wireless charging pad is a handy—and pretty exclusive—feature and the two USB-C charging ports are another premium that I used to rapidly charge my family's iPhones and iPads during a one-week cottage rental. On the same trip I also used the GB1000 to power a large portable fan—on the beach!—during a heatwave. When I got home, I cleaned the sand out of the car with my vacuum plugged into the portable power station for over an hour. One piece of feedback I have for making the device a little better would be to add some visual indication of which outlets and ports are controlled by the AC and DC buttons. This could take the form of a line marking which buttons control which ports. Since the wireless charging pad kind of sits on its own, i.e., is not on the front display area, you could add some text signifying that it is powered by the DC button. This might help users like me, who may not intuitively understand that the wireless pad is charged by DC current. Bottomline, the Generac GB1000 has a lot of nice premium touches, is easy to operate, rugged, has a large storage capacity, and can handle power-hungry devices with ease. So, if you are in the market for a portable battery station with a lot of storage capacity to power all of your favourite devices off the grid and during power outages, you should give this model a serious look.
Great portable power
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Can't go wrong with a name like Generac for your power needs. So far I've used it for a camping trip and it worked great. I was able to run a fan and charge 2 phones multiple times without using up all the charge. The wireless charger on top is very handy as well as the light on the front. The screen shows you all relative information about the unit. There are 3 receptacles and 4 total usb ports, plus a round car style port. It looks and feels heavy duty and doesn't weigh too much. I plan to purchase the optional solar panels soon but haven' needed them yet. I'm overall very happy with the power station and look forward to the other many uses I'll get from it.
My new favorite camping accessory
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love car camping and was looking for some thing that would travel well during trips to national parks. I’m incredibly pleased with the Gererac power station! Not only is it small and portable it charged our cameras, laptops and mobile phones for three days with no problem. The interface is easy to use and it even has wireless charging. I can’t recommend it enough for people Who like camping and tailgating. It’ll also come in super handy in the event there is another power outage this winter in Texas.
a great product
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This generac GB1000 power station is a great size for portability. It weighs around 27 pounds and is easy to carry with the built in handle. It charges in a timely fashion, going from 22% when unboxed to a full 100% in about 2 1/2 hours. It comes with an AC charge cord, a car charger cord, and a solar adapter cord. The user's manual is quite detailed and very helpful, with included charts on the estimated operating time for various devices.
The best portable power station!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the GB1000 Generac power station In the mail a couple weeks ago. It's something I've been wanting to get for a long time. It's simply amazing! It has a AC charging port, DC charging port, NEMA 1-15R AC Receptacles, AC output circuit breaker, DC output on/off button, 12V Car port, USB A & C output receptacles, wireless charging pad on top, display screen, Diffused LED light, Parallel ports, and it also has a cord storage pocket on the back to keep everything together. It's such an amazing product to have in your home. I'm so happy with this brand! It's about 27 lbs. You can also purchase separately some solar panels to charge it as well which is amazing! I highly recommend checking this product out, it's always great to have!
New Camping Companion
Took camping with 100% battery life...charged 2 dead & cold phones = 6% battery. Ran a CPAP and electric starter on a gas powered heater = 28% battery. Filled air mattresses and camped for 3 nights...still came home with 5% battery. Using the solar panel for 11 hours on a partially cloudy day in October in WI, charged battery 46%. Looking at getting a 2nd panel. My friends and family are all looking into getting their own now.
