No Volume Control Buttons

I've used bone conduction units from Panasonic, Shure and After-Shokz. Stayed with After-Shokz because they had the best sound quality, Have been through Bluez, Bluez 2, Titanium and Air. Started in cycling and now trail running. I have read through the (currently) 22 reviews and not one has mentioned the loss of the volume control buttons found on all previous models. After wearing the new OpenFit, they are the best sounding unit, so far! BUT... as mentioned in the other reviews, they are not bone conduction. they are just wireless earbuds. They use a larger opening for the sound to come out and get into you ear (open ear). Other people in a quiet room can also hear your music, phone call, podcast etc. I am agonozing over this unit, and the OpenRun Pro. As of 7-8-23, I have not chosen one over the other, and may keep both. OpenFit for sound quality, and OpenRun Pro for privacy. Lack of volume buttons MAY be the deciding factor. Phone not easily accessible when running, and watch controls for volume are even harder to access.

These are okay. I like

These are okay. I like the sound a lot but not the controls or the fit. They feel like they are falling out when I sweat. You can only make 4 custom selections and I am constantly having to struggle to pause them or to keep from pausing play when trying to adjust the volume.

Good headphones with some flaws.

Pros: The weight and comfortability are great. Sometimes I forget I have them on. Good audio and still able to hear my surroundings. The battery life is good as well. The app gives you decent EQ options. Cons: Touch buttons are bad and would rather have physical buttons. No wireless charging on the case. Would like more options for button controls.

Nice replacement for Aftershokz

I never used the in-the-ear listening, I've been using the Aeroshokz for several years now. I like this, the sound is somewhat better than the Aeroshokz. The fit is comfortable, although after several hours it does start to irritate the edge of the ear right where it goes around to bring the actual speaker in front. They last from 6-8 hours of listening, I use them all day listening to meetings, etc Ease of use is great, once paired it's just open the case and put on.

Excellent earphones!

3 Fantastic features make these the best earphones I've used: 1. Bass! No in-ear phones have bass like the Shokz openfit. These earphones are the only ones (of the small earphones type) I've tried with which I can listen to music and enjoy it like I enjoy it when listening on speakers. 2. Comfort! They are not felt. They don't go into your ear and they sit above the ear. So they are not felt. All the other earphones which go into your ear canal are painful after a while. These guys - I forget they are there if the music is turned off. 3. Package + battery + BT + controls. No disconnections. The battery lasts for many hours. The charging case is small and comfortable. The touch controls work flawlessly (I configured them using the app differently than the default). Thank you for the best earphones!

Love

I love these headphones, so light i forget I have them on, from all day wear, long battery life and long bluetooth range. These headphones are everything I didn't like in other similar products. I especially love that theres no buds that go in the ear and have bacteria grow in there.

SO CLOSE!

Let me start by saying, I use a pair of Oladance open ear for my business, 12 to 14 hours every day and love the open ear design. I have one or 2 issues with them so I was happy to see Shokz come out with this design in hopes that it would solve my issues with the Oladance. I'm happy to say, while battery life is shorter (which doesn't bother me) they did solve the 2 issues I have with the Oladance. The reason I only gave it 4 stars is because I normally have my phone on my desk or away from me when working and Shokz missed the 5 star mark in my opinion because you can not control the volume from the ear piece like you can on the Oladance. Otherwise everything else is great in my opinion. I will buy another pair only when they add the ability to adjust the volume by way of the ear piece. It's very annoying to have to always go to your phone to adjust the volume for something. Shokz... If you read this, add the ability to adjust the volume to make this a complete ear piece, then offer an exchange for those of us who have the older models to upgrade and I'll make this 5 stars!!

Just seem really low quality

Just seem really low quality compared to my airpods. When my headphones are in the case and I try to listen to something on my phone, i can hear the video playing through my headphones in the case. Case seems low quality, and the tapping/touch mechanism for changing songs, pausing songs, repeating songs, answering or hanging up calls is a pain. The best thing about these is the fit around the ear and no pressure inside of the ear. They don't fall off. Just need to improve the quality and features.

The sound keeps breaking and there's no volume control

First, I didn't realize that there's no volume control directly from tye headset. That's so inconvenient when you're working out as I don't hold my phone when working out. Second, OMG, the sound keeps breaking off often and yes, they're fully charged and is not network or Wi-Fi issue. It's pretty bad when you're listening to a conversation or an audiobook, or on a phone call.

Good choice if battery life lasts as long as claimed

I like you can use only one or both. The charge only lasts for around 8 hours. 1/3 of what was advertised. I’ve been going back and forth with customer service. But I’m frustrated with how long it’s taking to replace them. At this point I’m considering just returning them. They’re a little too big for my small ears. I bought them for the long battery life.
