First time buying shokz!

Moving away from airpods with the hopes of a more comfortable earbud, and I'm very happy with the decision to try these! These fit snugly without falling out, and the sound quality is great. The open-ear concept keeps my ears from hurting after hours of listening

I wish I liked them more

I really wish I liked them better than I did. I have a pair of the Shokz OpenRun Pro which I love. These should be my favorite pair of headphones ever. I love the over the ear form factor and how comfortable they are. I love that they are able to be put away in a case that goes in my pocket. However, the audio drops every couple minutes. If I look at my phone, the audio drops. If I look at my smart watch, the audio drops. If I get a notification on my phone, the audio drops. I would recommend these in a heartbeat if they weren't so flaky. As it is, they aren't getting as much use as I wish they were.

Sonic improvements and updatable, but be careful if wearing glasses or mask.

The sound quality, especially in the lower frequencies, has been improved. I can adjust them so I still hear traffic while I run, so I still consider them the safest way to hear music or books while retaining situational awareness. I can lay my head on a pillow now or wear a beanie without interference from the head band. If wearing a mask or sunglasses or both, removal of the mask or glasses can dislodge the shokz and they can be lost. I did this the first day I wore them and lost one taking off the mask after visiting a hospital. I was lucky and found it in the parking lot. I am looking for a way to string them together that works with the charger. I still fumble around putting them on and have yet to have figured out how to adjust volume etc while running without doing it on the phone. I find the app helpful and have easily updated the firmware twice.

Unintuitive Interface, but Good Sounding and Comfortable

The headphones sound better than I expected, given that they are open-ear headphones. They also feel very comfortable on my ears. I hardly notice they are there, and I can wear them all day without getting fatigued or feeling like there is something blocking my ear. However, the design of the buttons and case are too problematic for me to keep using them. I plan to return the headphones and instead use the Shokz OpenRun. The problem with the case is that it's too bulky to fit in my pocket comfortably, and also the headphones sometimes don't realize they are in the case, so they stay connected to my phone and play audio and phone calls through them while they are in the case. This only happens maybe 5% of the time I put them away, but I believe putting them in the case is the only way to turn them off and automatically disconnect from the phone, so it's very frustrating when this feature doesn't work. Relatedly, the headphones apparently don't have a sensor that detects when they are on your ears, so the touch-sensitive buttons are already on by the time you open the case and pick them up to put them on your ears. Since the buttons are touch-sensitive (instead of tactile), it's nearly impossible for me to place them on my ears without accidentally pressing a button and activating the play/pause or the skip tracks or the voice assistant before the headphones are even on my ears, throwing off what I was trying to do with them when I decided to put them on. Finally, once they are on your ears, the touch sensitive buttons are not reliable to activate, and they lack the full range of customization I would expect. The app only gives you the option to set both the L and R to specific combos, instead of just giving you free range to select exactly what each button does by itself. This results in a combination of actions where I can't get them to work the way I want them. I use the headphone buttons to skip backwards to re-listen to parts of a podcast quite frequently, and there is no way to have that be a function on both headphones, so I have to have the left headphone on all the time, even when I only want one headphone on my ear at a time. I think these headphones would be very good if they fixed those issues, but I am going to return them for now.

OpenFit overall best audio experience of any headphones I’ve tried

The rich sound quality is a 5 for me, no other audio headphone provides such an open air immersion of my music while being fully aware of my surroundings like any of my Shokz starting with the Aeropex mini, OpenRun Pro mini, to my new OpenFit with even more high end audio, without the harshness or uncomfortable fit of over ear headphones or ear buds. Like the customizable controls because play/pause & volume are critical for me, wish more options instead of constrained by set options, the “touch” a little too sensitive & requires learning & experience. Wish battery life longer, liked the OpenRun Pro’s 10 hour & I’ve run my OpenFit down but is nice having the charge case although then I’m without my headset, like it only takes 5 minutes for another hour. Might just be my ears but top of the lobes hurt a little where my OpenFit hang over, haven’t tried to see if they can bend with memory for a more comfortable fit, I love the bone conduction for the longer battery life & nice to just let them hang around my neck when not in use, but my temples are sensitive to migraines & had to always carry that special cable to charge. I would have to say the OpenFit are my favorite because of the immersive audio experience.

Oh my! Where to start?

Oh my! Where to start? What to say? Why am I speechless? BECAUSE THESE LITTLE BEAUTS ARE AMAZING!!!!! A to the MA to the ZING!!!!!! Easiest decision was picking the color. I chose the beige color. For Ability I’ll give it 11 out of ten stars. Easier to manipulate than my earrings. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️ Bass: If “Luke I am your father.” And a Sonic Boom from a NASA aircraft had a love child, it would be this Bass! I am so incredibly in love with these.

Great for running and comfortable

Switching from bone conducting - I like these for a change while running. I’m glad I bought them. Only negatives - They only pair to one thing at a time so I’m constantly switching them between my phone and Garmin. And you can’t change the volume on them directly like you can with the bone conducting ones so on my Garmin that’s a pain when running.

Ok for short term

Sound is good and calls are clear. The headphones are not comfortable. Usually it takes me a few day to get used to new ones but I had these since the release and still I can’t have them in for more than an hour. Too loose. Every time I adjust them I hit the button and ether end my calls or stop any media currently playing. I’m going back to the open run. It is nice u can have ether one in when needed and it doesn’t matter which one.

Great headphones, but no volume control keeps them from perfection

I bought a set of these and Open Run headphones. These are much better for audio quality, comfort, and operability overall. But... the lack of volume control on the headphones themselves is a big downer, especially for my intended purpose of using them at work. This was a huge reason I liked the Open Run headphones, but they made me nauseous and the headband would hit everything, so they were annoying. It's a bit trivial, but if they could add a volume control I would be very satisfied with them. However, the volume of these headphones is not great when you're in a somewhat noisy environment and they're ineffective for anything outside a quiet office or low wind situation. The open fit headphones, on the other hand, are magnitudes more comfortable than the open run version. You can barely feel them when they're not streaming audio and the sound just sort of feels like it appears in your head out of thin air. It's pretty neat to experience!

perfect for Cross training or CrossFit

I am super active and have always had issues with other brands when it came to doing burpees and box jumps, jump rope and other workouts that could cause other headphones and/or ear pods to shift. I am also super sweaty so after a few minutes my ear pods would fly out my ear. I owned the openRun and LOVE LOVE IT! However, when I saw the OpenFit I couldn't resist being able to lie down and not having to worry about if my movement would affect my music quality (laying back to do Bench Press.. I received my new OpenFit today and was SUPER excited to use it.. The sound quality is AMAZING!!! the Fit on my ear is almost like I'm not wearing anything. I shaked my head from side to side and around and the air piece did NOT budge!! I even imitated jogging and it stayed in place. I love them already and look forward to using them daily!
