[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I picked up a FoodSaver Space Saver Vacuum Sealing System. Best thing I did! This is perfect for large families or singles. You can buy bulk or family size meat/chicken products when on sale and vacuum pack the number of pieces you need for a future meal. This is definitely cost saving. So simple to use with easy to follow instructions. The FoodSaver is also small enough for easy storage. It comes with an adapter, accessory hose, 2 qt bags. 2 gallon bags and a roll 11in x 8ft. No more freezer burn!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I thought this was rather difficult to use. Also the instruction book was not good, very vague on instructions. There were also a couple pieces that were included that I'm not sure what you did with them, nothing in the instructions mentioned anything about them. It took me about 6 tries to get the vacuum to work. I found you have to have quite a bit more of the plastic than the size of the food in order to get it to vacuum. There was very little of the plastic and bags needed included with the appliance, so you would have to purchase that also. All in all, it would be quite pricey to use. On the plus side, if you can get it to vacuum seal, I think it would very nicely preserve the food item.

I love the fact that when I buy large amount of ground beef or steak that I can break apart the packaging and separate them for smaller amount of usage. perfect product for large families

It is not too big which makes it easy to store. It is great quality and came with everything I needed to get started.

We buy bulk meat and this comes very handy in storing meat into small portions in the freezer. Vacuum and sealing works very well. We also store fruit and vegetables and they stay fresh. No more freezer burns with using food saver.

I've previously had FoodSavers and they worked great for sealing everything, including jars, until they finally gave out.. Just purchased this model today primarily for sealing jars. Well, I tried to use it when I got home and the accessory hose doesn't even fit into the hole where it is suppose to go. It is too small, won't stay in place and falls out. Even if I try to hold it in place, it will not seal. I am using the correct jars, lids and FoodSaver accessory that goes over the jar/lid. I am returning this and will probably get a different brand. Plus the instructions are terrible!!!

Much better than I can do using a straw and lung power, or immersion in water. Also, I’ve been using it to save old photos, so I don’t have to worry about water or mould damage. Just for fun, I tried saving half an avocado with it. Couldn’t believe it. The avocado was just like fresh 3 days later.

It makes a very durable seal in a second! It comes with bags that you can fill and it comes with a roll that you can make your own size bag. With the cost of groceries I have saved money using my foodsaver! My food is still fresh and tasty afterwards. The design and quality are exceptional. It’s space saving and the craftsmanship is beautiful and well thought. I highly recommend this product. Beyond anything on the market!

I bought this about 5 months ago worked great the first few times I used it, then it would not vacuum out the air. I contacted customer service which was a hassle. The lady acted like I was stupid and didn’t know what I was doing. I had to keep reminding her I already have a bigger food-saver I just wanted one for quick sealers. I finally got another one and again the first few times it worked great and then the same thing happened. Not only did it not vacuum out the air the side button kept sticking and it didn’t want to open after closing it shut. After all that now it quite working completely. For all those people who gave a good review I would be curious to see how it is working after several uses. I truly am disappointed and question whether Food Save still cares about the quality of their product because my other food saver works great and I have had for a very long time. Don’t waste your money on this one.
