The app works fairly well but I would really like to see a Mac version. As is, I have to run on Parallels and switch back and forth between my Mac bookkeeping, spreadsheets and banking software and TurboTax. This is inconvenient at best and there is no way to import Mac Quickbooks data into TurboTax business. Between Intuit's 2nd class support of the Mac platform (in the case of TurboTax business, none at all), the move to online/cloud applications (I don't want my finances online!) and the push toward subscription services, I am looking for alternatives to the Intuit universe.

I have been a Turbo Tax individual and business for 20 years. I became an Apple user 12 years ago. Ever since, Turbo Tax has let me down. No Turbo Tax business for Mac. Only exists for Micro (desk). Shame on Turbo Tax. Time to get Turbo Tax Business for MAC.

I use Business turbo tax for fed and state to only input from my children's trusts stock information which provides interest, dividends and stock transactions. The system never makes it seemless to entry the data without requiring manual overrides to complete. I have suffered with this for a number of years hoping it will improve. It hasn't and this will be the last year I use it unless you can assure me that you have spent the time to fix the problems.

I was trying to use the business Turbotax for doing my mom's estate/trust income tax. the software was missing many key estate related questions/inputs as well as it did not provide proper uploading and finalizing for the tax return (the error messages referenced wrong problems and were inconsistent). It is nowhere near as helpful/user friendly as the regular personal turboTax software.

The product is good, but woe be unto you if for some reason you have to move your data file to a different drive when you are in the middle of working on your tax return. TurboTax cannot cope with that. It will try to open the file with the version of TurboTax for your personal 1040, or it will claim it can't understand the file if you open the program first and browse to the file in the program. It's a nightmare. Once you find a way to trick it into opening the moved file, you'll be okay. But woe be unto you until then.

The federal side of the house was easy to work with and pretty straightforward. I required a PA state return as well and the way the info transitioned was where it got a bit confusing. There needs to be a way to edit the state information independently of the federal to make it more user friendly.

Wished for easier access to explanation of the various forms needed in a return and an explanation of who needs to file them Investments had not 1099 OID form for item entry. I seem to remember you used to fill in the boxes on 1099's it wasn't offered this time

This program is easy to use. I did have one question which I had to ask a Tax Expert, and she was able to find the answer for me while I was on the phone with her. I could not find the answer online or in the Turbo Tax online support function. This service was useful because otherwise I would have had to guess, which is not something I like to do with my taxes.

It would be great if you had some place (or explanation online or within the software) to be able to designate an extended due date due to a federally declared disaster area. We did not suffer loss, so the Casualty Loss forms are not necessary, but the IRS and KY both asked that the Disaster Relief Information be at the top of the first page of the return. This did not seem to be available anywhere in the business software.

Unlike some of the other Software Products on the market, TURBO TAX is not always user friendly. The Search field is no limited and does not address simple questions. For example, if you had a specific question related to a specific form - the response is so generic it does not even apply to the form or your topic. It is easier to use the IRS website - and that is saying a lot.
