I have been a Turbo Tax individual and business for 20 years. I became an Apple user 12 years ago. Ever since, Turbo Tax has let me down. No Turbo Tax business for Mac. Only exists for Micro (desk). Shame on Turbo Tax. Time to get Turbo Tax Business for MAC.

Very disappointed to find out that the state of Indiana could not use this software to file state returns --- after completing the federal return. It defeated the whole point of preparing and filing them together. I will have to find and pay a professional to complete 2024s state taxes.

The app works fairly well but I would really like to see a Mac version. As is, I have to run on Parallels and switch back and forth between my Mac bookkeeping, spreadsheets and banking software and TurboTax. This is inconvenient at best and there is no way to import Mac Quickbooks data into TurboTax business. Between Intuit's 2nd class support of the Mac platform (in the case of TurboTax business, none at all), the move to online/cloud applications (I don't want my finances online!) and the push toward subscription services, I am looking for alternatives to the Intuit universe.

Imposed a short tax year that I did not select. Completed error check with no errors but then reported errors when I went to print. Requires "detailed explanation" field be completed for form 2116, but only catches this on second review prior to printing -- there is no opportunity to fill this in earlier in the questionnaire form, and no information is provided. This was a problem last year, still not fixed. No fiduciary form provided for Idaho (or for several other states). All in all, an underdeveloped, crude piece of software. This is a mature product. It should be flawless.

This is the first year I have had problems with Turbotax. I've used Turbotax since the '80s. I'm disappointed. It goes into loops that I can't get out of without starting the return over as well as other issues. Not happy. I'll have to think long and hard next year before purchasing either the business or the personal. I purchase both.

Make a desktop version for the Mac. Somehow make it more straight forward to simply revise the numbers from the previous year. 99% of the company stuff is the same as before. We just need to update the numbers for the current year. For example, has anything changed from the year before? If not, here are the numbers to update for the current year.

Was difficult using the download to desktop. Would prefer to have a disk to install for 2025. Tax expert Jessica was very helpful and with her assistance was finally able to install. Have used Turbotax for the past 7 years with no problems from a disk, but this year was a challenge.

Federal tax filing is fine, but it looks like I should be able to file my Arkansas tax return electronically but Turbo Tax does not support it. For mailing the Arkansas tax return, it's unclear which forms I need to send in. There should be a prompt to specifically print out exactly what you need to send in with the Arkansas return. I feel like Turbo Tax isn't making any effort with the state return. It asks general questions instead like I'm supposed to know what additional things I might need to do for the AR return. If you are charging additional money for the state return, you should make more of an effort to make it easy to file.

I have used TurboTax Business for years but will probably not next year. The 2024 version seems to be riddled with errors such as checked boxes that appear with no means to uncheck them. The "out of balance" situation was one nightmare among many. My State Dept of Revenue and the TurboTax website both say I can e-file but when I tried, it said I couldn't. As a last insult, after e-filing my federal return, it wouldn't let me print my state return to file unless I first printed my federal return.

Hard to get it installed. Every year, putting in payroll numbers is a challenge. (Owners, taxes and general payroll). It would be nice if the categories were all in one place. The state review is a challenge. (NC) even though I run error check and clear, when I get ready to file, it says there is an error. I can never find what is the problem. BTW, I have used Turbo for about 20 years.
