Using the software was easy. Filing the Federal return via E-file was also easy and worked fine. Turbo tax would not e-file my Maryland State return so I printed it out and mailed it in. Yesterday I got a letter from the Maryland Comptroller's office informing that Form 504 was incomplete. Indeed, my pdf doesn't show a completed Form 504 document; it printed out a scan form with the entries but no pre-printed text. I guess I will use the Form 504 that I printed from WWW.marylandtaxes.gov and hand write my TurboTax amounts into the form and send that in with everything else (again).

It was complicated to understand why one part of my deduction is in 1120s and another part is not Your explanation are not easy to understand. for me it can be better if you add examples from real life I don't understand why you can not find all my data with my ubi so i should add all information manually

This is my first year using the "Business" program for my Trust return. This program is very complicated and did not populate the information onto my K-1 form. I also use the "Premier" program to file my income taxes and find that this program is much clearer in its steps and explanation.

Use this software to process a Form 1041 for a family trust. Majority of the assets are investments (Stocks, bonds, etc). TurboTax Business does not provide the impact tools like the personal tax program. May need to find a better tax sioftware next year.

Federal tax filing is fine, but it looks like I should be able to file my Arkansas tax return electronically but Turbo Tax does not support it. For mailing the Arkansas tax return, it's unclear which forms I need to send in. There should be a prompt to specifically print out exactly what you need to send in with the Arkansas return. I feel like Turbo Tax isn't making any effort with the state return. It asks general questions instead like I'm supposed to know what additional things I might need to do for the AR return. If you are charging additional money for the state return, you should make more of an effort to make it easy to file.

Confusing at times, but generally helpful for a small business. At times, inserts forms having no association with my business, like the Georgia IT-FC (Production Company for Movies) forms. Had to do an on-line search to determine why the forms were being inserted and how to delete.

I initially filled out my taxes online but when I saw the ridiculously expensive cost to file as the only option was live agent assist (which i did not need), I switched to the Desktop version. I had no way to pull all the information I already entered online into the desktop application so I had to re-enter all of it, doubling the work. It makes no sense why the only web/browser options is the one with live agent assist. You should make the desktop version available on web too because the questions are the exact same, or allow it to import previous years data from online and vice versa, and sync information. Additionally I had multiple issues downloading the software because of issues on the website and I had to call in for tech support, which could have been avoided if the web option had the same price point and option without live agent.

I've been using Turbotax for my LLC business for 20+ years, and aspects of it can be very frustrating. Every year I enter the bank account information for the State of CA to direct debit my checking account for the tax owed. This year, the program repeatedly lost my account information and unchecked the direct debit box, causing me to have to go back to the information form and re-enter it, and then step through the filing again and again. The 4th time around, I finally tried making the change in the preview window on the filing screen, where TurboTax helpfully told me that it no longer supports direct debit that way so it had blanked out my entries. Why didn't the error check catch that and let me know earlier!? Little issues like that can result in a lot of wasted time.

The software itself worked well once we were able to download the state form. Unfortunately, it took 5 support phone calls before we were able to successfully download the state forms. We had similar issues in 2024 also. Regardless of how well the software works, if we spend 10 hours on support calls each year trying to download/troubleshoot software, it's just not worth it. I'm an IT person and every support specialist seemed to have zero clue what the error messages in your software meant or root cause. Frankly, it's ridiculous! Also, on this review form... seriously, I have to spend my time trying to find a unique Nickname? Are you kidding me????

It was fine- logical and straightforward overall. I chose Turbotax for our small LLCs even if it costs a little more. My only issue is the failure to have an easy upload from Quickbooks desktop 2020 or allow an Excel upload. It seems that Intuit has really tried to discourage people who bought their desktop products from being able to keep using them.
