I bought this several weeks ago so I don't have the receipt anymore, but after first use found that this tape doesn't stick AT ALL. Totally dry! All that is on the dispenser is a long strip of plastic with no glue! What the heck? Would like my money back.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This heavy duty shipping tape is indeed heavy duty and stays put well on packages. It wasn't the easiest roll to get started, not was it easy to dispense once set up, though. While trying to start the roll, the tape tore and split several inches, wasting some product. I tried holding it just as directed, but it didn't make dispensing any easier. It was a bit frustrating.

I would purchase the tape again but the only redeeming quality of the dispenser is the blade to cut tape. It's hard to use and constantly had to try to find end of roll for another piece of tape.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Dispensers are getting better . Have used a lot of the High Performance packaging tape. This new Heavy Tape works better it stays in place on the dispenser until you use it again. There is 200'' less inches & is skinnier now.

My mother had passed away several years ago and my father suffered a stroke so he made the choice to move with us. That meant packing up not only our home but everything from my parents home as well. Needless to say we used MANY rolls of tape. With so many boxes to build and seal I tried to cut costs by using "store brand" tape. I ended up using twice as much because they did not stick as well as Scotch so after 1 roll I went back to my trusty Scotch brand packing tape with the easy to use Heavy Duty dispenser. I LOVE the soft grip handle and how quick and easy it is to load the tape in the handle. This kept the momentum flowing and we were able to get more packing done with less hassle.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This tape is super grippy. It is easy to tear from the roll. I used this to reinforce a cardboard box filled with heavy books for shipping. This is definitely universal on any surface. Very easy to handle.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Scotch Heavy Duty Shipping Package Tape is not only good for sealing shipping containers it is also good for repairing packing boxes that are used for storing household goods or craft supplies. I use a lot of card stock in my crafting. The larger remnants are kept in cardboard boxes. Tonight I repaired two such boxes with this tape because the tape is strong enough to reinforce the weak and torn places. The reason I deducted a star from my rating is that the tape will sometimes tear where that tear is not wanted.

Hello, we have been using this scotch heavy duty shipping tape for many years and we are very satisfied with it. We just have one concern that will make us still using it or not: is it made out of recycle plastic? how is 3m positioning its brand regarding the environment?

I had a half a roll of packing tape & when I went to use it... it wasn't sticky at all.. I could not finish my project & I was beyond mad!! I was depending on that tape & it let me down! I'm highly disappointed & considering switching to a different brand.
