This fabric rinse is designed to remove odor residue and the end result is fresher smelling and softer fabrics. Simply fill the fabric softener dispenser or add during the rinse cycle. I use this on my bath towels, clothes, bed linens, pretty much everything that goes in the wash. I like that it contains no dyes or heavy perfumes so it's gentle on sensitive skin. My washes have never been so soft or smelled so fresh!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a dog who likes to sometimes sleep our blankets, but I don't love the smell of dog that sometimes gets trapped and doesn't come out in the regular laundry. Enter Downy Rinse & Refresh. After using the Rinse & Refresh on my doggy smelling blankets, I noticed a decrease in the smell I was trying to get rid of, and a hint of the cool cotton smell of the product. I wouldn't say it was able to completely eliminate the offending odor, but it did help in reducing it even more than regular laundering does.

I've used it in hot and cold water which removed all traces of unwanted odors out of our clothes. It acts as a detergent booster and helped clean the fabrics removing built-up dirt, debris and odors. I only used 3 tbl for each load and the clothes came out softer and smelling wonderful! I'm definitely adding Downy rinse and refresh to my shopping list it has made a big difference in the outcome of our laundry which has been an issue even more so from my washer being in our damp musty basement I absolutely love this!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This doesn't just cover the smell for a couple hours after I go to work, this actually got the mildew, tree sap, oil stain, sweaty smell out of my work clothes. Other products made them smell clean for a bit, but the funk just come right back the second I started working. I didn't even have to break a sweat to smell it. Being a tree worker we all smell like that and you just can't get it out of your clothes. I put this in the rinse cycle with my work clothes and I haven't had that smell all week. The only thing I don't like is the product comes out of the cap and gets every where when trying to pour in the right amount. It's wasting a lot. It also seems to use a lot for a cap full. I think a squeeze bottle design would be better. Also maybe a larger bottle for those of us who wash clothes everyday. I can faintly smell the fragrance and would also like it to be a bit stronger . Don't get me wrong the product works and is amazing but if I could change a few things I definitely would.
