[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a longtime lover of the Downy brand and was really excited to try the Downy Rinse and Refresh Cool Cotton fabric rinse. With a houseful of kids who play sports, we always have smelly and dirty clothes to wash. This rinse is a clear, slightly foaming liquid that you use in the fabric softner dispenser or by pouring right into the washing machine during the rinse cycle. I used mine in the fabric softener dispenser. It is made to clarify your fabrics by removing residue build up. The Cool Cotton scent is light, refreshing and smells so clean. It made my clothes smell wonderful and I felt like they had been cleansed extremely well when I got them out of the wash.

I like the clear bottle, it feels more natural since I can see through it. They advertise it fights odor and leaves a great smell which is a half true. When you open the bottle, it smells delicious but after putting it in multiple loads of laundry, I feel like the smells basically disappears. Like you can faintly smell it but like literally if your nose is directly on the fabric and inhaling hard. The packaging doesn’t tell me how much to use so they should probably add that. I washed like 5 loads so far and the bottle is already more than half gone, so maybe I am using too much. Idk. I do not know if it is really fighting the odor since I don’t stink and I haven’t washed anything incredibly funky. But it does combat enough of normal smells - I think.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This new DOWNY Fabric Rinse is fantastic! It's is perfect for my work clothes. I'm a server in a popular family owned restaurant. We are quite busy and I really get a workout on the job. After my shift my clothing smells of fried foods, perspiration. and stress. This completely removes all of the odor, leaving my clothes totally refreshed and soft. The cool cotton scent is light and quite pleasant. I love this stuff!

The smell is strong, but does not seem ti make my clothes have the same strong scent. My towels smell pretty good, but my teenage kids and husbands work clothes do not smell any better. I will stick with my other product.

With back to back heat waves, plus our outdoor activities, our clothes get sweaty and stinky. I often go in for that 2nd wash, wasting water in a time when we should be saving it. I was thrilled to give this a try - and even more so when it worked. 1 wash was all it took to make my outdoor clothes smell fresh. And for someone who is scent sensitive, I loved the scent.

I don't particularly like the twist off lid that mine came with I think it makes it difficult to put into my fabric softener dispenser as suggested. The scent is nice and refreshing when putting it in the washer, unfortunately the scent didn't seem to be there after I took the clothes out of the dryer so that was a bummer.

I've used Downy for years and am excited when a new scent comes out as I know the end result will always be awesome.

I just washed it with my regular detergent and Downey in the fabric softer slot. So clean and fresh. I love this stuff.
