This stuff smells so good. I can smell it even when it is in the container. When I open the wash to move my laundry to the dryer it kind of hits me in the face. I washed our sheets with this stuff, and they feel and smell wonderful. I am going to start washing my husband's smelly work clothes with this stuff. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I don't normally use softener in my wash and I hang my clothes out unless its raining. So I decided to try my @Downy Fresh Protect Active Fresh In-Wash Odor Shield in a load of just towels. Because we all know how stiff they get when you hang them out! lol And I thought that would be the best test. After they were through washing I reached in the washer and they felt grossly greasy. Sort of like a wet dish rag when you wash a greasy load of dishes by hand. And the thinner towels in the wash felt like they were going to tear apart as I pulled them out. (You know how towels get wrapped around one another!) I didn't smell anything different either. Nor did they dry softer. It's true! Just a little sprinkle of this in your wash and it will be leaving your clothes smelling fresh and clean all day long with that fresh out of the washer smell! I tested the Downy Fresh Protect Beads for free, but with all the compliments I got at work that day for smelling so good on a hot summer's day, I will definitely be purchasing some more soon!

I will not do laundry without these magic beads anymore! I love how amazing my clothes smell. I have kids with sensitive skin so fragrance detergents have been out of my house for YEARS how ever I decided I was going to go rogue and wash my clothes by themselves and try this product.. I absolutely love this product!!! My dog just had some puppies and we have been using a bunch of towels for her whelping needs. I washed everything and was worried about weird smells sticking to the towels. But this product made them smell amazing again.

It smells absolutely phenomenal to start. As a really active person, I am always coming home with smelly workout clothes and just one 'dose' (if you will) of this stuff works wonders.
