Simply throw it in with your clothes at the beginning of your wash cycle, and be prepared for amazing smelling clothes all day long! I'm going to be purchasing this to keep on hand, since I get that murky water smell every once in awhile in my washer. This hides all smells, is not super expensive and can be found in most laundry aisles in most mass retailers. I found that it dissolves easily and leaves no residue on clothes.

I really love these they are my new favorite product so easy to use just pour in after your detergent and they dissolve fast and smell terrific. I love they are pink makes them super cute however be responsible and put them up away from kids or they may think they are sprinkles or candy. I used these alone with tide pods and also as a trio with tide pods and tide odor rescue pods as suggested and both ways they made my clothes smell so good the scent is perfect for myself. Our clothes tend to be on the stinky side especially towels or my daughter's clothes so adding these helped make our clothing smell clean and fresh. I will be buying these from now on and they will be a new permanent product in our home. I fully suggest these if you want your clothes to smell amazing and to cut out the odors that sometimes linger. * I tested Downy Fresh Protect for free, but all opinions are my own.

I loved everything about this, the smell was amazing and the quality was awesome. It really took away the bad smells and it made it smell so fresh. Even after throwing it in the dryer, it kept its smell so powerful. I used it on a very big load of clothes and all my clothes smelled. It was very powerful. I got there for free but these opinions are my own. I am so glad I did, definitely will be buying more.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I tried Downy® Fresh Protect Active Fresh In-Wash Odor Shield I mixed it in with my husband's work clothes and I noticed a HUGE difference to the smell! My husband works outside and comes home with very dirty clothes this is the perfect product to help with any odor. Also, great if you happen to forget you put clothes in the washing machine. No need to rewash them! Just put them in the dryer and they will still smell great!

Used this product one time. Messed up the washing machine, it took 10 minutes to clean undissolved particles from the machine. when placing in dryer some particles were still in clothing. MELTED all in drum to the point you had to scrape off drum. NO way will I use Downy products again. Have no faith in them!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Before trying these, I wanted to know if they actually worked and their ease of use. I was given the opportunity to try them for free through Bzzagent. I used these in a load of laundry that had some pretty stinky pieces of clothing from my husband exercising. I simply added them to the wash bin. Based on the packaging, the purpose and use of the beads wasn't exactly clear. These were added in addition to laundry detergent. I wasn't sure if the Downy beads would neutralize pre-existing odors during the wash cycle or if they were just intended to help prevent new odors from sticking to clothes. I was unable to test the latter because the clothes had to be washed again due to remaining odor. This is possibly due to a new detergent that was used, however, it was clear that the Downy beads did not eliminate odor. It would have been interesting to test the Downy beads' ability to prevent new odors from forming on clothes but, I'm doubtful that they would stand up to heavy sweat and resulting body odor.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The downy fresh was nice. I like the fact you don't have to deal with the liquid and ball. I used the packet no my towels, and they came out nice and soft. I would recommend this product if u use downy.

I poured it in my washer and when I was finished drying the smell was awesome very aromatic and it stays on your clothes for days.. Love it, I also got it for free which its even better. I love it..

This product is great! My clothes smell amazing, and it definitely lasts all day long. Very easy to use. My mom also enjoys this product a lot. It prevents sweat stains on top of wearing deodorant, but deodorant might not even be necessary if you're using this product.I did get this product for free from Influenster. This is all my honest opinion and I was not paid to write this.

This product is so good that when i got ready to wash my clothes again they still smelled good as if they were not dirty. I highly recommend this product and would definitely buy this.
