Having a division 1 sports student in the house you can only imagine the smell of her clothes. Sometimes I would have to wash them twice. This product is exactly what it says deodorant for clothes. It smells great! I got this product in a free promotion and these are my honest opinions.

I received a sample of the Downy scent beads. I normally use the ones by tide so I was curious to see how they compared. With the tide product it took like half a bottle to smell anything with the downy product it took a quarter of the small sample bag to have a powerful fragrance. I definitely think the value is way better with downy!

I could smell a little bit of the scent of the Botanical Mist, but I had to search for the scent. I was a little disappointed. But I might try it again just to see if it was that load...

They made my laundry smell so amazing! Best thing is I only used maybe a tablespoon of the beads. A little goes a long way in this case!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I thought what better product to try the Downy Fresh and Protect Beads on than my blanket on my bed that I sleep with every night. I was a bit leery that the smell would last longer than a few days but to my delight and surprise the wonderful scent is still going strong. It is refreshing to smell everynight when I head to bed. It also makes my whole bedroom smell good. I would highly recommend this product.

First off laundry comes out of dryer so great smelling and fresh. It makes me want to shower in this stuff!! I stay very active and all day long I could smell my fresh smelling clothes no matter if I was running around after my kids or actually running at the gym! Definitely worth the extra dime to smell extra fresh all day!

I first tested out the odor shield claim on a load of sheets/blankets that my toddler had vomited on during the middle of the night. End result, I love love love these beads! My laundry smelled amazing....no need for a prewash or second wash to rid the smell away. I received a free sample of Downy Fresh protect beads, but all opinions are my own.

I love the Downy beads! I've used the Downy Unstopables in the wash before, but not the Fresh Protect. I really like the April Fresh scent, and the smell is fairly strong just opening the package. I actually used less than the recommended amount, because I feel it's quite strong. One week later, and my sheets still smell fresh! Of course the fresh smell fades over time, but the lovely scent stays much longer than after washing with detergent alone. Clothes still smell incredibly fresh in my closet too. The Downy product In-Wash Odor Shield "pebbles" make my laundry smell so good! It smells delicious when I put them in, transfer the laundry to the dryer, & when I'm folding the laundry! A+!
