Sometimes I tend to forget to get laundry out of the washer and into the dryer in a timely manner and this product keeps my clothes and towels from getting that musty smell that happens from the wet clothes sitting too long. That says a lot considering the fact that I have two sons who play plenty of sports and their clothes tend to smell something awful at times. It also adds a fresh wonderful scent to all of my laundry. I love the way this product works and it is so simple to use. This is a great product.

I used it on some towels and blankets of mine the other day and they stayed smelling fresh for 2 days. I can't say that I haven't been happy with any downy product ever however I can say this Downy product is my absolute favorite and has not let me down yet.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wasn't quite sure what to do with this product when I first received it. Was it a scent booster and would I still need to use dryer sheets? So, I held off on using it. It wasn't until my basement flooded, soaking my bath towels for days, leaving behind a musty smell that I just didn't think would come out. Ive left wet towels in the wash before for days which had the same musty smell, and I was never able to get it out, so they became rags. I did not want to trash my new towels so I threw in some downy fresh and hopped for the best- To my surprise, they came out smelling the best they ever have, and it didn't mess with the absorbency which can be a problem when using traditional dryer sheets with towels. Overall, I am very pleased and even bought a small bottle to use with my husbands work clothes.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was REALLY very concerned about trying this product... because it seems strange to put loose wax pellets in your washing machine, but it was fabulous! There was no residue on my washer or any of the clothing in side and the amount of smell these little things put off was shocking! I look forward to trying them out in the future and finding other scents.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I mixed the downy beads with the tide pods and what came out was the cleanest, freshest, nicest smelling clothes ever!!! We struggle trying to keep clothes smelling good with the rough water (and stinky!) in our area!! The clothes that have not been worn STILL smell like I took them out of the dryer SEVEN days afterwards! Great product will definitely need more!!!

I am a loyal customer of Gain's laundry and dish detergents, therefore trying something outside of Gain wasn't on my agenda at the time. When I received this product for free, I immediately made it a point to try it because I really didn't have anything to lose. Well, I was very satisfied with the refreshing smell and the scent lasted for almost 3 weeks! I am very amazed. I am planning on putting this on my shopping list from now on.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I loved the Downy Fresh &Protect Beads the smell is amazing and strong but not over powering. I washed my blanket with the beads and a Gain Fling almost a week ago and it still smells like I washed it today. I loved the scent so much that I put the empty package in my closet because the sent was still so strong even with out the bead.

I love the product and the scent. My only complaint is that the lid on the 37.5 oz (Sam’s Club) is very awkward and difficult to put back on. It usually takes me multiple tries, or I end up just setting it on top. Maybe consider revising the design of the super large size container to allow it to not be so awkward.

I love the smell so much i decided to put them in my scentsy to see if they would melt and make the house smell good ! Guess what they did ! So i have been using them more in my scentsy then washer but i would most definitely recommend them !

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had seen this product advertised on TV so I was curious to use it when they came in my bzzkit. When I opened the package the smell was amazing! You have to be careful though when using a front loading machine, as I spilled quite a few onto the floor trying to get it onto the clothes!! It dissolves well in the washing machine and when you pull out the clothes it smells great! Not sure if I will make it part of my weekly routine, however it was nice to try.
