I received this product free from Influenster and Downy for testing, and here's my review. Everything they advertise is true. They are thrown in with the wash, as simple as that! The clothes cone out smelling amazing, and since I line dry, the fragrance lasts even longer. When worn most movement releases fragrance that leaves you feeling clean and fresh all day! I tried Downy Fresh Protect Beads for free, but all opinions are my own, I wasn't prompted at anytime what to say, I truly love this product for its fresh smell and easy of use!

I've seen these in the store but never actually purchased them. I was always curious as to whether or not they really worked. I got these as a sample to try through Influenster. They do actually work, they have a nice fresh smell. Not my most favorite scent, would be interested in seeing what other scents they gave.

It is very easy to use and it is like little sprinkles that you sprinkle on your clothing. I didn't need to use any fabric softener or anything because this product has everything built into one in a way I have never seen laundry detergent.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So I put Downey fresh protect odor shield up for a test and did not use it with the tide pods or gain flings that I received for free from Bzzagent. I really wanted to try these but did not really think they would work as I am more of a fan of a softener and dryer sheets...I go full all the way...I try the Downey but with other liquid detergent because I wanted to see how much the aroma really stays in the clothes. And after washing WOWWWWW....was really impress and could not stop smelling my clothes...as they were all fresh, clean, hugable and huhhh lovely...i could imagine in bed sheets...I told my husband to smell because I was just loving it. The aroma, odor really last. Is like there is no need for a softener. So over all I dont even know if you use this with the Tide pods ( wowww ) it would definetely be a booster to it...even though both smell awesome...So indeed is even worth the money...

These Downy Fresh Protect beads are amazing. They leave your clothing with an amazing scent that is soft, fragrant and long lasting. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm pretty sure you all know now that I get to try all sorts of products out for FREE from BzzAgent. So when they offered to let me try out laundry products, I jumped at the chance. With the hubs and 3 kids in the house, we go through a LOT of laundry and every free wash counts. And when I say a lot of laundry, I mean me and my husband work out everyday and work and go to ball games, so there's about six outfits a day. The eight year old has school and softball and jammies, so there's three more sets of clothes. The three year old has daycare and t-ball and jammies, so tack on another three outfits, and the two year old, well, what can I say? He's a two year old. My husband works in car sales, so he is outside all day, and, at least in Texas, say goodbye to spring showers and hello to hot humid summer day temps already. This equals stinky shirts, socks, and shoes at the end of a long day. I tried out the Downy Fresh Protect In-Wash Odor Shield first. You put your detergent in first, then sprinkle the Downy in the bottom of the washer before you put the clothes in and start the washer. I made sure I washed one of the hub's shirts in there since he is outside all day, and it's been nice and muggy and hot outside. The clothes came out of the washer smelling nice. They came out of the dryer with a very soft, very subtle clean scent. The smell was not quite as strong as I usually prefer (I personally like to use a lot of the Downy Unstoppables and dryer bars), but nice nonetheless. That's the only reason I give the product four stars instead of five. The hub's shirt still smelled nice too when I gave him his welcome home hug after a long day at work in the sun. I can't say so much about the actual hubs himself, but at least the shirt still smelled clean... :)

I normally use detergent as well as fabric softener, so I was excited to try this Fresh Protect product. Maybe I didn't really quite understand what the purpose was for the product... I'm not sure. I was expecting it to be a fabric softener or dryer sheet replacement product, and I don't think that it is. I tried two different loads.. one usually my normal combo of detergent along with a fabric softener, PLUS the scent beads, inside of my washer.. and my normal dryer sheets in the dryer. And then I tried a second load where I only used detergent and the scent beads, with no added softener and no dryer sheet. I didn't notice any difference in smell or feel in my first load, and in my second load with only the scent beads .. I could definitely tell I didn't use fabric softener, and I could definitely tell I needed to use a dryer sheet. I mean, the product smells good.. but I'd save my money. I took a chance and through them in the washer and i wasn't disappointed. My clothes smelled amazing and they were super soft.

When I received these laundry pacs from Bzzagent, I was curious how such a tiny pod or pellets could clean a whole load of clothes, thus me never buying them. Well now I know why people like them. They're super convenient, (who likes spilling and wasting detergent?!) And they keep clothes looking new!
