The Downy Fresh Protect April Fresh In-Wash Odor Shield is a great product. I washed a couple of loads and they all smell so fresh and clean. The scent stayed on the clothing throughout my day. I did receive complimentary samples of Downy Fresh Protect to review.

I love the product and the scent. My only complaint is that the lid on the 37.5 oz (Sam’s Club) is very awkward and difficult to put back on. It usually takes me multiple tries, or I end up just setting it on top. Maybe consider revising the design of the super large size container to allow it to not be so awkward.

I absolutely love this brand and love these in wash odor shield pellets. They make my clothes smell so fresh and help shield odors. I got this product as a free test sample from Influester in the goddess voxbox, but will definitely be buying them in the future to use regularly with my clothes washing routine.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used the Downy Fresh & Protect beads with a free and clear detergent so that I could get the full scent effect. I washed my children's clothes (ages 6 and 2) with the Downy beads. The beads were awesome, just toss them in with the detergent and water before putting your laundry in. During the washing cycle you could really smell the beads, and the smell was very fresh and clean. After the cycle was over, I took the clothes out and the smell was strong but not over powering. I was disappointed though that after drying the clothes I didn't really notice the Downy scent, and by the next day there was no scent left in the clothes at all. I like the concept and ease of use but would like if the scent lasted a little longer.

I usually do not add any scents to my laundry, but I got a free sample and decided to give them a try. The smell is nice. Not too strong. I used less than the recommended amount because I didn't want my laundry to knock anyone socks off. April fresh would not be my go-to flavor, but it was what i was given to try. I'll consider purchasing a different scent at the store.

I love this product. I used it in the launder for my work clothes. Working in the food industry, I smell like the restaurant I work in and it's unpleasant having to smell like old food while running errands on my break or at work. Using this product has made me so much more confortable going out in my work clothes! I did receive this product as a complimentary sample.

I will definitely buy them from now one for the extra stinky clothes and other washable items that need some extra help smelling a little better! I have told a few people about how well it worked also letting them know it works with HE appliances! Thats was the first thing i checked when i received this item!

When reading the label I was curious can this really make things stay smelling good with use. I decided a good test would be to try it on my towels. I often fell like after I use my towels they start to smell a little musty. After washing with the protect beads they defiantly had a strong scent of clean. Did they smell better? Yes, but it was just a mask for the underlying musty to come back. I was defiantly confused when looking at the packaging if it should be used in addition to detergent as if if was similar to a softener product or if it replaced the detergent. I also think it would be beneficial to know if this is targets more towards athletic gear or really every day. When I asked around to see what people are looking for in laundry care it was often one product that can fight stains, has long lasting freshness and easy to use and reasonable cost. I also got the occasional helps keep my HE washer clean and smelling fresh. I think this product has the ability to help with freshness. I did not notice any stain fighting.

OMG! I've never been more excited to wash my clothes! These Downy bead make our clothes smell wonderful!
