The Unit Has All Works Just Like Promised. Every Week Is Goes Into It's Test Phase. Runs About Ten Minutes. Then Cuts Off. Shows On The Controls If Any Thing Is Not Going Right. I Strongly Suggest If You Live In A Storm Pron Area That You Get One Of These. I Have The Generac 22KW. I Can run My Whole 23,000 Sq Foot. House Pulse Part Of The House Next To Me. If You Have Propane Or Natural Gas This Is The Way To Go. (Gas Stations Run Out Of Gas Fast And Are Vary Hard To Get Gas To Them. when you get A Heavy Storm.)

Great unit 22kv. Had a factory control problem. Contractor fixed "No Charger" and I was up and running. Had two outages that were over 35 mins. long and its a shock to be the only one around with lights and air conditioning. Got a three year service contract and still under review on that. It is quite compared to some I have heard. It charges the 12volt battery and system checks: starting, load, and shutdown each month.

So far the unit hasn't been necessary. It comes on automatically for it's weekly 5 minute run. Starts right up and shuts down afterwards. It is a lot quieter than I I expected, like a lawn mower as others have mentioned. Installation was straight forward, the contractors knew exactly what they were doing. Wiring through our attic was iffy because it is so flat up there but they managed. So glad we went ahead and bought it. Feel so much more secure.

We had our unit installed several weeks ago and had a local failure of someone hitting a trnasmission pole. The unit went on immediately and ran continuously until service was restored. I was very impressed in that not even our automatic light timers were affected.

the best way to describe this unit is worry free. When the power goes out the unit kicks in. The unit looks nice and actually this is an upgrade from an older model. Only concern was that when a part went out on the unit within within a few days, it took Generac over 6 weeks to remedy the issue. I almost went to a different brand because of it.

Since having it installed the power has only been lost twice, but both times, we would find ourselves freezing in place and after a few sec. away she would go, lights everything back up and running, It is very quiet when running, looks good. I love it. I am set to retire soon, always wanted to have this taken care before that time got here, best thing we done, I recommend this product everyday.

We feel more secure and safe now that we have this home generator. Dale and his installation crew were the friendliest and upmost professional the day they installed it. I already have recommended them to many friends. When some come by, I feel the need to show it off! Sorry, but I'm kinda proud of it! Great Job!

We had a generac generator at our last house for 7 years, no problems. We have only tested this unit so far, no power outages yet, but tests were good. Only one problem, the load shed modules do NOT work as advertised. The specs say it can "disable" a circuit while on generator power. It cannot do this. It can disable the circuit in an overload situation only. We needed this feature to disconnect our solar panels while on generator power.

Installed April 2017 right next to service entrance. Looks very nice and reassuring. My wife and I feel a weight lifted. No more 20 below January nights yanking on a pull-cord with stiff oil in the pan. First power outage came this June, in 45 seconds we had power and there was no hint when the power came back and the generator turned off. We have the 22kw standalone. One thing to remember. The generator comes set for a delay start up time of only 5 seconds. Every little power hit or sag will have the generator starting and stopping. Only your approved service installer can change that time. We had ours changed to 30 seconds. No only real power failures turn the generator on. Comes on every Saturday morning for 10 minutes. Connected to its own 500 gallon propane tank. Worth every cent at 73 years old. Save a lot of money the closer to your service entrance you can get. Buy the biggest generator you can afford, I suggest the biggest.

Very pleased with the product and service at this point. Has been installed for nearly two months, only run during scheduled test periods. All ratings are based on performance and service during this period. I have no reason to think things will change. G. Smith
