we live in a rural area, and several times a year have power outages lasting 1-2 weeks, with one outage lasting 3 weeks! My portable generator was ok, but costs $30.00/day for gas, and I had to get up in the middle of the night to fill it up. Not to mention that if I was not home, my wife was unable to start it up, etc. No more! Within a few seconds of power-loss, everything is back to normal...my well, AC, furnace, everything! Awesome.

Having to listen to our neighbors generator kick on immediately after our neighborhood has power lost and knowing they are sitting in their home comfortably (with their a/c running) while we are left with no electric, no a/c (in Florida) we finally decided to get our automatic standby generator installed. Best. Decision. Ever! The process from beginning to end was effortless. We purchased our Generac generator from Holly Electric (Donald and Crystal were awesome!) and they handled everything! The installers Jason II, Eli, and Johnny were professional and friendly and not only installed our generator but cleaned up after themselves including making sure the generator was wiped down free of handprints (Thanks Jason!) a small gesture that showed me he takes pride in his work! I now have peace of mind especially when it comes to the possibility of power loss during hurricane season.

I had been taking gas cans and getting them filled to run a 6500 watt generator for years during power outages from hurricanes, When i read up on Generac whole house generators and talked to some friends that had them I was sold. When it was started up and tested for the first time yesterday it was a good feeling, The unit ran perfectly and ran all of the utilities in the house including the air conditioner. It is a nice looking unit and will serve my electrical needs for years.

Had been in the process to get a 22KW installed and then Ida hit. Power went out Sunday evening about 5:30 on 8/29. We were running the house on a 17.5 KW portable Generac but getting fuel had become an issue. Our dealer texted me the following Thursday AM about 6:30 and asked if we were still without power. I replied yes and they showed up a couple of hours later to install the unit. 5 hours later we were up and running. Everything went well until Sat AM when the unit shut down. I went to check it and the enclosure was full of oil that had leaked out of somewhere. I refilled it and got it running but it continued loosing oil. We got power back on Sunday evening. Unit now goes into over start shut down. Dealer came and did the first service but the unit still will not start and run. We suspect it has a bad circuit board so am waiting on that so we can get it started to find out where the oil is coming from. We suspect it is a rear seal since oil is coming from the exhaust end. Service tech also noted metal shavings in the oil. Bottom line is we are still without standby protection.

Very impressed by the support team, Mariposa Electric from Lindsay, Ontario for myself, who gave proper assistance in the initial determination of need, and then the installation. Machine is great, only quam is that the machine does not have decals on back (for me the front) of the generator

I had the 22kw unit installed recently. A few days after it was installed our power went out. It started up right away and we all the electrical power we needed. I recommend the unit to my brother and he bought it and is very satisfied with his purchase. I would recommend the 22kw unit model 6551 to anyone.

Why did I wait so long. One hour after installation, we had a power failure. Generator kicked on and worked like a charm. The installation crew was great. Efficient, courteous, and explained installation every step of the way. Thank you so much.

Just had the Generac installed this week and now We have the peace of mind when we go on vacation or out of town and the power goes out there is no need to worry about my freezers and refrigerator not operating. Also the sump pump is always ready without shutting down in a storm. The Two gentlemen that did the install were highly trained in installation of these units. they answered every question I could think of. I highly recommend anyone who want peace of mind to get one what an asset to add to our property. Thank you.

Had a Guardian 24kw generator installed about 1 yr ago by Ambrose Electric. Installation went very smoothly and has a very acceptable appearance. Initial oil change and service check is simple. Everything is easy to get at. We have had two short term power outages since installation and everything works pefectly. Our house is total electric and we have no problem living normally during outages. Well pump, water heater, clothes dryer and electric heat all operate normally although we do take care to limit burner/oven usage on the stove if the electric heat is in use, for example. The Generac handles it all with no strain. My one complaint is with the exercise program. It runs for only five minutes under no load. This causes moisture in the air to condense into the oil. Particularly in the winter. I spent 50 yrs as a Diesel and heavy equipment mechanic. Moisture in oil is never acceptable, despite what Generac claims. Originally set to exercise weekly I changed it to monthly and on those days I trip the main breaker to put the unit under load for 30-60 minutes. Unit is exercised and the oil stays moisture free. All-in-all an excellent unit and it is great not having to get up in the middle of a winter night, or any other time, and go hook up a portable generator.

I installed the generator and transfer switch myself last summer. The installation instructions and registration requirements were clear and straight forward and installation went well. The generator worked perfectly during several small storms in 2020 and ran continuously for 5 days during the 2021 Texas Deep Freeze. After the storm I checked the oil and it was still full even after the extended run time. I changed the oil myself and the design of the oil drain makes it easy and clean. There must be a group of bright and practical people in the design and manufacturing departments that make good products like this possible. Please keep making these generators in the USA and do not fall into the Made in China cheap junk cesspool.
