We have had our 24kW Guardian unit for just over one year now. We reside in Houston, TX area and are thus exposed to hurricanes, tropical storms, and even winter freezes. Each of these weather events can disrupt power, for a few hours to a few days, or more. I have an 87 year old mother-in-law that lives in a home just over a mile from us. Thus, our decision for backup power was as much for her as for ourselves. Our unit runs our entire 3,100 sq.ft. home, including a 5-ton AC, and a pool. Shock Doc Electrical in League City was referred by Generac and they did an excellent job on the installation. Worth every penny for the peace of mind!

After living through Wilma and all the other hurricanes that have hit South Florida, I finally said enough is enough. I purchased the Generac 22K and had it professionally installed. We did the test run, and everything worked without fail. We turned on every appliance and could not tell I was on generator power. Solid product and I am sure this is going to reduce a lot of anxiety during the next storm. The way 2020 is going I am sure a hurricane will be coming our way. I had to call the Generac customer support line for assistance with the app and getting connection and the support staff are awesome. So, Generac hits a home run, great product and great people.

Nice looking unit. Noisier than I though it would be. Install took longer than it should have due to installer showing up with out necessary parts on a Friday and then had to wait till the following Monday to finish. Once installed unit fired up promptly and the "simulated" power outage had the unit start and within a few seconds the house had power. Obviously won't know how well it really works until an actual emergency and hopefully it works as promised. Wi-Fi set up SUCKs big time. NONE of the provided booklets explain it properly. Finally found a manual on-line (by Generac) that explained it. Why wasn't this manual provided with the paperwork? Wi-Fi still doesn't work and I'm not entirely sure why? Weak signal probably. Unit also a USB capability to update firmware but again NO manual explaining how that might work.

Due to covid & the resulting supply chain backup it took 7 months to receive our generator & due to Winter weather several more to have our tank buried & the generator operational. No power outages yet but every weekend the unit starts like a charm & goes through the exercise period. Our dealer, Cox Electric of North Kingstown, RI & propane company, Consumer Propane of Woonsocket, RI were excellent to deal with. Generac has a great reputation & I'm confident were going to be very happy when the next power outage comes around.

We live in a cold climate and now that we are old it can be dangerous in sub zero weather to be without power. The last storm we were out 5 days which also means no well pump no water. Huge expenditure with the cost of install for old people. I have not been able to get the wi-fi remote monitor to work as I am not tech savvy, do not understand what they are asking for to be able to follow the instructions, nor can I climb thru the snow banks to get at the generator itself.

I just today had Serial Number: 000000003010512219 Unit Description: 22KW/999 GUARD-NO T/SW AL installed at my home I got the unit from local provider here in Houston, TX Wired Generators I was impressed with the workers that did the installation and being powered by natural gas I do not have the worry of filling a gasoline tank or change out a propane tank. I was also pleased with the low noise level when it was running. Last year I was without power for 11 days during freezing cooled weather and being on the Gulf Coast have hurricanes to deal with as well.

The generator is nicely designed and is quiet. Operation is automatic with 7 second delay. With locks to keep the unit access secure and bolted to a concrete base keeps the unit safe and stable. Totally happy with this product and would recommend to anyone looking to install a whole house generator.

I helped my elderly parents move into a home with all electric services. Last winter, that area had no power for 3 weeks after a heavy snowstorm downed power lines. This is the first house they’ve ever lived in without a fireplace or heating oil so it was important to me that they have a generator before this winter set in. Thankfully, the vendor I chose, Roe’s Abode, had equipment in stock and provided everything we would need! They even were able to replace the electrical panel when they discovered that the main switch wouldn’t turn off the power to the house! Professional, efficient, and friendly AND fully equipped to get the job completed quickly! Makes my parents and I sleep a lot more comfortably knowing the house is covered in the event of an outage!

Our Model 7226, 18-Watt generator was installed this morning. This is the best piece of installation work we've ever had done on a home (over the last 54 years we've built four homes). Thomas, Jared, and their crew arrrived on time, went right to work, and three hours later we had a superbly installed generator. It's obvious that these men take great pride in their work. If the generator works as well as it looks, we have one beauty of a product sitting outside our home.

We just finished our basement with a substantial investment, and now I feel our investment is protected from power outages and water in the basement. Baker Electric crew was knowledgeable and experienced. Their office personnel, specifically Cindy, was helpful and friendly. Great job.
