Aquastar has some good stuff under their label. These, unfortunately, are a complete miss. I purchased them because they were on clearance for less than half price, I know why now. Almost everything about them are terrible. The breading, no flavor, texture not good, and isn't attached to the scallops at all. The scallops themselves, very hard, no taste. The only thing decent is the size of the scallops, which appear as advertised. Not recommended, even at their discounted price. Update: after posting original review, I cooked the remaining scallops, but decided to bake instead of air fry. The results, from a texture perspective, were drastic. Both the breading and scallops were not rock hard like in air fry mode. And the breading actually stuck to the scallops. Make no mistake, this made zero improvements in the flavor department. I don't know if this was different batch issue or a cooking method issue, but try baking instead of air frying and see if this improves for other people. I am revising my star rating to 2 stars, along with updated info.

I brought these home and threw them in the air fryer straight from the freezer for 17 minutes at 400F. The breading and the scallops were great. The whole family enjoyed them. What was great is not having to deep fry them in order to get the breading crispy.

The product is good, and cook well if you follow the directions. The breading is a little thick, and can easily be removed if the scallop is cut in half. Having said that the breading is good and I ate it separate from the scallop. I felt the amount of product given was represenative of the price range. I would buy again.

Most times scallops tend to be very over chewy or rubbery. This specific product took me by surprise in a positive way. I baked them in the oven compared to using an air fryer as I believe air fryers tend to dry out seafood, so If you air fried and did not like these, I encourage you to try them in the oven, because they came out delicious, the breading was flavorful and the Scallops were perfectly tender and full of flavor and sweetness that you should expect from a scallop. Whoever supplies this company with scallops deserves high praise as well. Pair this with a side of asparagus and a glass of Moscato and you have really good meal at a price that is affordable. Will buy again.

I am a huge fan of all things seafood,but these are terrible. They look great coming out of the oven, but the taste and texture of the scallop is way off. The breading has the potential to be pretty good. The scallop itself though, whatever preservatives were used, have completely ruined the whole thing. Would never purchase these again.

Just like a night out for seafood Each bite seems to get even better These were my first two thoughts when I finished my first one. Rich scallop flavor that seemed to build with each bite. The bites were also a good soft bite, just past the crisp panko. I prepared mine in the air fryer; make sure you let them sit so the inner juices properly infuse the meat! In this economy, you definitely want to look for a way to save money, but still feel like you can hold on just a bit longer for things to get better again. These were great for just that, a favorite seafood appetizer I’d order on a night out, but at home!

These are super easy to prepare, and my kids and I both loved them. They actually taste very sweet. I ate half of them with tartar sauce and half of them without. I could swear my favorite chinese restaurant serves these exact ones, so now I feel like I can have the same taste at home for much less money.
