quiet, indoor generator for emergency use.

Very reliable brand and seems to be a very safe product for in home use, I have more than one. plug and play essentially for the not so electronics savvy buyer. It's a bit heavy, so not for people that can't handle moving heavy objects, buy the smaller 600 if that is the case. Drawbacks - does not offer a recommendation as to which solar panel to purchase making it more difficult to navigate all the solar panel sellers, does not offer an EMP shield or blanket to protect against electrical pulses and does not recommend that buyers purchase one to protect their purchase.

Convenient, great deal for low-level power needs

Well made and straightforward design. Charged quickly on first day. Easily runs a CPAP (with humidifier) for 2-3 nights with plenty of leftover power to charge small accessories. Works well with the optional solar panels sold elsewhere (WalMart). Obviously, this won't power an entire house, but is perfect for basic medical devices and small appliances for camping off the grid for a little bit. It's a nice small sized solution for these problems. outstanding price when on sale.

Best value for your $$$.

Westinghouse iGen 1000 exceeds my expectations. High quality, user friendly, best included owner's manual ever. Often, manuals confuse more than help. Westinghouse had this vey clearly written--easy to understand. Majority today don't include hard-copy manuals, forcing buyers to find them on line. This senior wants a manual in my hand, sent with the product. I researched all similar products from other brands before buying. Westinghouse beats them all for the highest power

Nice and portable

I purchased this for our camping trip. First I thought it might not be enough, but it was just right size and power. Our trip was only 1 night and used it to plug in our heating blanket. After the cold long night, it had lots left power. This will be out go-to generator for lots of occasion. It's small enough to leave in my car trunk for emergency as well.

I received this as a gift and love it!

I'm a maintenance supervisor and I received this as a gift for maintenance appreciation week. I've used it a hand full of times now and I have nothing bad to say about it . It's a great power bank. I used it to power my wifi router during a power outage and it kept my router running the whole power outage.

Strong power small package

Took alittle understanding of DC voltage to realize the limitations of 12 volt battery power. Using AC plugs they use 10 times the power of DC. With that in mind, it was a difficult purchase considering battery power alone. I decided the battery, inverter, USB ports, 12 volt accessory port, and a nice tiny package were the deciding factors. Even though it's rated for 1008 watt hours, based on measured loads I had on the AC ports, I could only use less than 875 before the power station was drained and turned off. I have a 12 volt portable fridge and it ran three whole days on a full charge. Speaking of charging, it charges sort of fast. Takes just over three hours to charge to 100% from zero. AC charging is a whole lot faster than DC charging. Tried caring from my car's accessory port and the display showed 105 watt incoming. Word of caution, the accessory port tip of the cable is quite hot when it removed from the car's accessory socket. Refrain from touching it for a few seconds until it cools a bit. One more thing, the cooling fans are always on when charging and do not seem to turn on when load watts are 225 and below. I like the power station. I had serious reservations about the price. I figured what the heck and live a little. I'm sure the price will give me a few sleepless night hopefully I get over them though.

Getting charged up

When plugged into a outlet to charge it seems to use about 350 watts. When charging with a solar panel and it starts getting dark it starts beeping and drains the battery until unplugged from the solar panel.

Nice features; think I got a dud.

I purchased this product in May 2021, didn't use it until June. Initial Charge LED was at two bars, and I got it up to three bars in approx. 1.5 hrs of AC outlet charging; the LED never got up to 100% charge, nor did the DC Input charging LED light ever come on, so I didn't really know if it was charging properly. I said I wouldn't recommend to a friend, however that could change depending up their making good on their service warranty product replacement.

Will not hold a charge

It cannot be counted on to work in a power outage. Ours is only 2 months old. Our power went out today. The iGen300s has been left plugged in and charging for more than the past week. When I went to use it today it displayed 100% charged. I plugged it into our fireplace fan. It displayed a 32w AC draw and lasted only 5 minutes before going completely dead. This is the 2nd time this has happened to us. I charged it again of our gas generator and it said fully charged after less than an hour. I then tried again and this time it lasted about 1 hour with only the 32w load. The display said it was half full at the time it died. It has also smelled like chemicals (like new carpet) the entire time - still does after 2 months. Bottom line, you cannot count on this unit.
