I had the open area where we wanted to build some type of pergola solution. I really didn’t want something that would be attached to the house since our home is historic 140 year old farm house. So found this 16x12 pergola, I didn’t want to spend a bunch of money hiring a crew so I built it myself using a material lift. Instructions were easy to follow and I felt like the structure was well thought out, it’s elegant enough where it doesn’t feel like a do it your self Pergola. I’m considering buying smaller version for an outdoor grilling kitchen. I highly recommend this product it shipped quick and easy.

This is an excellent gazebo. The quality is great, and instructions were easy to follow. We coated the wood with a sealant as recommended. The gable ends require two people at least to set up. A third helper would've been nice, but my wife and I got the job done. Overall, we couldn't be more pleased with the product.

The wood is really bad quality, the structure is not steardy, the middle structure does not support the weight of the roof, it's actually bending. We are going to have to install support beams so the next hurricane that comes to the area does not destroy the bazebo. I regret ordering this structure. Not good quality. Wood was not cut to match, it was off in a lot of areas by an inch or 3/4 of an inch

I bought the Carport/Gazebo to park my new full sized pickup truck under out of the weather. This past summer was over 100 degrees, this winter started out cold and heavy rain and windy, the carport is holding up well. I’m unable to build the carport by myself, I had a contractor who had built my deck a few years ago do the job, ( So glad I did ) He and his guy leveled out where the footing go, made the framing, poured the concrete. Then they started the construction process, it took about 5 days. I’m very happy with the outcome.

It is a beautiful addition to our large backyard and even though the description is accurate, I didn't realize how huge it would actually be in the space. My only criticism is that the instructions say it is a two-person build and "a third person would be helpful to install the roof." This is a huge understatement. We had four adults and it still took us 8 hours. The roof was especially precarious and we ended up purchasing an additional 6 hurricane clips to ensure safety. Do not attempt with only two people! I love it so much and cannot wait to add lights and a sound system. A couple pieces came slightly damaged, but not enough that we wanted to wait for replacement parts to assemble. Also, MOST of the pre-drilled holes aligned perfectly, but a few did not and required some creativity and muscle to make them work. When all was said and done, only the middle hole in the center of the roof and one hole a the end of the roof didn't align. It still feels quite sturdy. The video tutorial was helpful, but not perfect; pay attention to the angles of the brackets and try to keep pieces organized--the bags/boxes are labeled with the piece name/number, but not the individual pieces.

The installation is a task!. But don’t be scared. Have a few friends ready to help. Especially when you get ready to lift the roof panels. Pay attention to the instructions and the positions of the wood/ bolts. Overall, fairly simple to install with common knowledge of building things. Beautiful outcome.

We just assembled our 16x12 Norwood and couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. Assembly took about a day and a half for 2 guys. The only real issues we had were when we didn’t understand what the instructions wanted us to do and did things the wrong way ( following the instructions is critical with anything to do with the roof panels). If we were to do another one it would go much smoother. The wood all looks great, the hardware is substantially made, all the parts were in the kit, and everything fit like it was supposed to.

We finally finished up putting together our 12X14 Gazebo and we love it! My husband and I are in construction so we understand how things work. The instructions were really amazing, and we downloaded the 3-d instructions just to see if they were helpful. We followed every single step to a T and still ended up with one little confusing part when it came to the roof rafter. Somehow, following the instructions, we missed something because the nut locks didn't line up, so we drilled our own holes and made it work. Also somehow we were short one H06, so we used the H08 (support board) and cut it to fit. Otherwise, just the 2 of us did almost all of it. We recruited 2 neighbors when it came time to lift the roof panels up. It is beautiful and we are so glad we did it!

This carport kit is really great. The hardware is very well made and stout and the cedar (Asian?) is very nice with very few knots or defects- nicer than I expected. Other than help flipping the partially built sections onto the legs, I did it all myself. I was unable to get the roofing sheets square on each roof section on the ground, so I did deviate from the instructions and put on all the roofing tin after I installed the panels on the structure. A couple comments- The roofing screws are horrible. The rubber gaskets pinch up and do not stay centered when they are being installed, even with the screw gun's clutch set to 1. Do yourself a favor and buy real brown roofing screws with a gasket and capture washer. Read everything on each page in the assembly instructions. A couple pages had instructions that were easily missed in the top right corner of the page. Use a cordless ratchet for the nuts and a cordless impact for the torx head screws. It made assembly much quicker. I'm very impressed with the finished carport. A really awesome kit that should last for many, many years to come.
