Like most parents I wanted to keep my daughter in my room as long as possible so I could keep her close and check on her throughout the night. The time came to move her into her own room but I still wanted to be able to peek in on her from time to time during naps and bedtime. Enter the Philips Avent Video Monitor. This monitor is so jam-packed full of features it literally does everything! First of all it was so easy to set up and install in my daughter's room. The picture is so clear even in the middle of the night and the audio is good quality. The Eco mode was great at helping extend battery life. The monitor lasted for two full 2+ hour naps and still had a partial charge when I plugged it in at night. By far my favorite feature has to be the Lullaby button. With the simple push of the music note my daughter can be soothed while I'm a room away. I use this feature almost daily to help comfort her during naptime and in the middle of the night when I'm needing just a few more minutes of sleep! The 2 way microphone is so helpful to be able to talk to my husband in the other room if I need his help. My other favorite feature would have to be the temperature sensor. I don't know about you, but I'm constantly worrying whether my daughter is too warm or cold. The monitor takes all the guesswork out of it and displays the temperature right on the video monitor. The range of the monitor is fantastic as well and I love the fold up antenna for even more dependability. I would highly recommend this monitor, for the quality, dependability, and ease of install. The Philips Avent Digital Video Baby Monitor has a lot going for it! We used it in place of an older monitor for our second child (just turned 1 year old). Assembly was a breeze and the toggling through settings was easy and intuitive. I absolutely love the ECO mode as it saves energy and limits the amount of interruptions to my sleep while still alerting me to her needs. I call that a major mom win! The video monitor was clear and I had no issues with the size, clarity or connection. I think the music/sounds were my favorite feature of this monitor. We can play these as my daughter falls asleep and then cut them off once she is and utilize ECO mode. The one feature about the monitor I felt was lacking is the ability to move the mount via the display as the child grows and becomes a toddler moving around the room. This monitor is perfect for my baby but would not work for my son who has more freedom but still needs us to keep an eye on him at night and during “quiet time.” I'd like to thank WeeSpring Parent Panel for allowing me this opportunity to try and review this new Phillips Avent Digital Video Baby Monitor.

I have been wanting to try out a digital baby monitor since becoming a mother of two. My oldest is 4 1/2 yrs old and my baby is 6 months. This difference in age has led me to wanting more than justa audio baby monitor...i otherwise need certainty that both my kiddos are not in danger when naptime is underway. My oldest is supremely helpful, and curious of baby sister's where abouts which leads me to always wanting to know what's going on in her room. This monitor and its sound sensitivity is superb for letting me know if anything us happening in her room. The quality of the picture is still not ideal but good enough. I am having trouble zooming in/using what is considered the nighttime mode im guessing.... I like the adjustable/pan/zoom feature in case i need to move the picture to see her. And ive had no problems with the battery, as I've not had to unplug either while they are in use. I appreciate the generous cord length provided too! One of the monitors sits on top of a book shelf and has a good distance to go up high from the wall outlet. I received this product for free as a member of the Wee-Spring Parent panel.

I received this product from weeSpring Parent Panel. Ultimately, the Philips Avent Baby Monitor works as intended. I was disappointed in the screen size (this was my biggest issue with the product), I could not find a way to situate the camera to allow full vision of my child's crib, let alone across her room. The night vision was grainy and difficult to decipher movement. While in Eco mode (which overall, I liked), I was not able to quickly click a button to turn on the screen unless my child made a noise or moved. I like to occasionally check - even if I haven't heard any noise - to make sure things are ok and this was not simple to do. I did, however, like the long charging cord and camera plug-in cord. The battery life on the monitor was great - I did not use it long enough yet to know if it'll die faster over time. Set-up was simple - mounting the camera was a breeze. I also liked the sensitivity feature - you can choose how sensitive the monitor is at alerting you to sounds and movement. As I have a toddler, I prefer less sensitivity, so this was nice.

I received this product from the Stellar Parent Panel in exchange for my feedback. We LOVE this monitor. I have only ever used WiFi monitors before this one and struggled with them from the start. Setup is usually long and tedious and then we would struggle with maintaining consistent connection and quality. First, set up is crazy easy. We literally opened up the box, plugged in the camera and monitor and that's it; we were using the camera for that nap time. The secure connection not only avoids pairing and re-pairing the camera over and over again, but gives you beautifully clear camera quality and audio quality. Turn on the monitor and that's it, baby is in perfect view. We tried out the lullaby feature, microphone feature- both really cool options that we haven't seen on past monitors. What really sets this monitor apart is the different modes you can use. For quiet play, we like to use the “audio” mode. We leave it on “video” mode for most naps so we can see the instant he wakes up. Our favorite is “Eco” mode for his nighttime sleeping. We set the sensitivity a little lower (he moves a lot in his sleep) and the screen only projects when he wakes up. That way we save so much battery life on our monitor, even though the battery life is already impressive not on eco mode. Overall, this is our favorite and most used baby product in our house right now and we definitely recommend.

This is a great monitor. It is super easy to set up. The display is great, it has a clear picture, day or night. I love that it shows the temperature in the room and it has many options of modes- video, audio, vox, or eco. I love that you can have it play music or you can talk to your baby without going into the room, just using the display. The display is portable so I can bring it with me from room to room while my baby sleeps and the battery lasts a while. Again the screen and picture is so clear, I can see every feature and hair on my kid's head. The eco mode is great. It will keep the screen off when there is no movement or sound and will turn back on when there is sound. It helps save the battery a lot. Another really great thing about this monitor is there is little to no delay, which is one problem we had with our old monitor. The reason why I gave it 4 stars is because the camera is not as wide as I would like it to be. So I cannot see my baby's whole crib. It is a little annoying when I cannot see her while she is sleeping or upset and standing in the corner of the crib. Also the zoom and pan function is complicated to use. This digital video monitor has all I need for peace of mind while my little one sleeps! My favorite feature is the vibration option, I've never seen that on a baby monitor. It's really nice to put the vibration mode at night so we (my husband and myself) aren't both woken up when the baby rouses. I do wish the vibration was a bit stronger so I could use the feature when wearing the monitor when I'm doing house chores as I have tried it and am not able to feel it alert. I am pleased with the long battery life (10 hours) so I don't have to leave the monitor plugged in to charge all night. The monitor has several different modes, but I always leave it on eco mode (where the video only pops up when the little one is making noise) since I'm not generally watching the monitor continuously anyway. The sensitivity can also be adjusted which is a really nice feature to make sure you aren't being alerted for the slightest noises when you're trying to get some precious sleep! We thought it would be nice to be able to use the talk feature to soothe the baby but it actually sounds pretty creepy on the receiving end, so that's one feature we aren't finding useful, but it's not really necessary so we don't mind. I like that the monitor itself is sturdy, and the built-in utility clip lets me keep it with me but still be hands free around the house. The video quality is good, even in night vision mode and you can pan and zoom to get a closer look if needed, although you do have to go into those features via the menu which is somewhat inconvenient in the middle of the night. And lastly, I am a huge fan of this monitor not being connected to WiFi for security reasons. We loved the Philips Avent digital video monitor and we're pretty surprised at just how easy it was to set up the monitor. With a busy 1 year old and 4 year old , we desperately needed to get a monitor in their room in order to avoid getting up in the middle of the night to double check on them. I really like discreet the monitor is which doesn't distract my kiddos or tempt them to go touching it. The actual monitor was very easy to set up and use as well. I'm not super technologically savvy , so that was a plus for me. Although we haven't exactly used the Eco mode , I'm glad that there is an option. Surprisingly the monitor display is very clear and even when listening , I can clearly hear the kids on the monitor and know exactly when I need to step in. The monitor has a light which illuminates the room but not to the point where it bothers the kids while they are asleep. I really love the music capability so that I don't have to keep YouTube lullabies on the tv all night :-). My babes really like sleeping with light music so it's perfect for them. I received this monitor as a part of the WeeSpring Parent Panel. Previously I had used a web based WiFi monitor. This monitor was so much better! I loved the convenience of the handheld monitor and how there was NO lag like on a WiFi based monitor. It has a number of modes including a great battery saving Eco mode and a sound only mode which is great when I'm trying to sleep as well. The monitor is super sensitive and I was always aware of my babies were awake. The screen was nice and clear. I wish we had had this monitor from day one!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Avent Baby Monitor we received from the weeSpring Parent Panel was a pretty great find! We had tried several different monitors and I will say that this is one of our favorites so far. I like that it came with it's own parent monitor screen and I didn't have to use my phone. The range on it is great as well! I am able to take the parent monitor all the way down to our barn and still receive video feed, so that is a huge plus! I also like the fact that I can change between various modes. At night the video feed keeps me awake with the screen glow, so it was really nice to be able to switch it to audio mode and not have the glow going all night. If my baby woke up the audio noise let me know and I could switch back to video to take a peek at what was going on. The only disadvantages to this monitor is that there is no pan or title feature. Our playroom is pretty large and the angle of the lens only shows part of the room, not the entire thing. We have a baby on the way and the toddler and he will be sharing the nursery. I do wish that we were able to see the entire room either though a wider lens angle or with a pan feature to move the camera. The last thing I will note is that at night the video mode is a little bit difficult to see. The night camera isn't the best quality and makes it hard to tell what is a stuffed animal in the toddlers bed and what is actually the toddler. Over four different monitors we've tried this is our favorite so far!
