I have been wanting to try out a digital baby monitor since becoming a mother of two. My oldest is 4 1/2 yrs old and my baby is 6 months. This difference in age has led me to wanting more than justa audio baby monitor...i otherwise need certainty that both my kiddos are not in danger when naptime is underway. My oldest is supremely helpful, and curious of baby sister's where abouts which leads me to always wanting to know what's going on in her room. This monitor and its sound sensitivity is superb for letting me know if anything us happening in her room. The quality of the picture is still not ideal but good enough. I am having trouble zooming in/using what is considered the nighttime mode im guessing.... I like the adjustable/pan/zoom feature in case i need to move the picture to see her. And ive had no problems with the battery, as I've not had to unplug either while they are in use. I appreciate the generous cord length provided too! One of the monitors sits on top of a book shelf and has a good distance to go up high from the wall outlet. I received this product for free as a member of the Wee-Spring Parent panel.

This monitor (which I received as a part of the weeSpring parent panel) has many convenient/user friendly features. It was super easy to set up, easy to change the angle on the camera. The camera quality is not the best, but works for seeing the basics. I love that I can turn the night-light and lullibies from the camera side. Overall a good monitor

What I liked: -Sound Quality is great -Easy set up (Con-TERRIBLE instructions) -the option for Eco mode is awesome -I love knowing the temperature of my baby's room -battery life is excellent What I didn't love: -the lullabies aren't something I use. I would love an option for a white noise sound -I had the monitor get disconnected from the camera in the middle of the night and it set off an awful beeping sound from the parent monitor. I'd be perfectly happy with a screen telling me it had been disconnected and not a sound. I tested this product as part of the weeSpring Parent Panel and I would definitely recommend it.

The Philips Avent Digital Video Baby Monitor has a lot going for it! We used it in place of an older monitor for our second child (just turned 1 year old). Assembly was a breeze and the toggling through settings was easy and intuitive. I absolutely love the ECO mode as it saves energy and limits the amount of interruptions to my sleep while still alerting me to her needs. I call that a major mom win! The video monitor was clear and I had no issues with the size, clarity or connection. I think the music/sounds were my favorite feature of this monitor. We can play these as my daughter falls asleep and then cut them off once she is and utilize ECO mode. The one feature about the monitor I felt was lacking is the ability to move the mount via the display as the child grows and becomes a toddler moving around the room. This monitor is perfect for my baby but would not work for my son who has more freedom but still needs us to keep an eye on him at night and during “quiet time.” I'd like to thank WeeSpring Parent Panel for allowing me this opportunity to try and review this new Phillips Avent Digital Video Baby Monitor.

We have absolutely loved having this monitor! Thanks to weeSpring Parent Panel for letting us try it out! It has so many great features we haven't had before. First off, it was incredibly easy to set up. It took me 10 minutes to get it out of the box and up in baby's room for nap time. It automatically connected the parent unit to the monitor with no issues at all. I also love how easy it is to use differently throughout the day. During nap time, I can leave it on video mode but during the night, it's nice to use eco mode so I can get uninterrupted sleep as well! The variety of volume levels is great too for different users and when we are using it during the day versus at night as well. I have also used the microphone a few times with our potty training toddler and it works with great clarity which is a nice feature! This has really been a great upgrade for us!

This digital video monitor has all I need for peace of mind while my little one sleeps! My favorite feature is the vibration option, I've never seen that on a baby monitor. It's really nice to put the vibration mode at night so we (my husband and myself) aren't both woken up when the baby rouses. I do wish the vibration was a bit stronger so I could use the feature when wearing the monitor when I'm doing house chores as I have tried it and am not able to feel it alert. I am pleased with the long battery life (10 hours) so I don't have to leave the monitor plugged in to charge all night. The monitor has several different modes, but I always leave it on eco mode (where the video only pops up when the little one is making noise) since I'm not generally watching the monitor continuously anyway. The sensitivity can also be adjusted which is a really nice feature to make sure you aren't being alerted for the slightest noises when you're trying to get some precious sleep! We thought it would be nice to be able to use the talk feature to soothe the baby but it actually sounds pretty creepy on the receiving end, so that's one feature we aren't finding useful, but it's not really necessary so we don't mind. I like that the monitor itself is sturdy, and the built-in utility clip lets me keep it with me but still be hands free around the house. The video quality is good, even in night vision mode and you can pan and zoom to get a closer look if needed, although you do have to go into those features via the menu which is somewhat inconvenient in the middle of the night. And lastly, I am a huge fan of this monitor not being connected to WiFi for security reasons. I really like this monitor because it doesn't need to use the WiFi for connection and it's very private and secure. I like that you can adjust the viewing angle of the baby camera and the baby monitor is portable and runs on its own battery. The baby monitor is 3.5 inches color screen with a 2x zoom capability. It has very good quality picture and it doesn't lag— provides quick feedback. If I wanted to, I am able to am able to talk to the baby through the monitor, able to play lullabies, provide a night light and also monitors room temperature. There are also different modes you can use while monitoring baby such as video, audio, vox and eco mode. My favorite is the eco mode because it saves energy by reducing power use by switching off the audio and video and turns on as soon as baby makes a noise. The only reason why I gave this produce a 4/5 rating is because the camera for the baby is not portable so if you lose power, there will be no video link of baby until the power is restored. I had a black out occur and I didn't get to video monitor my baby until the power came back on. But overall, I really like this baby monitor. As a Mom of a 11 month old, a good night's sleep is hard to come by. Even when the baby is asleep in his crib, I often find myself worrying if he is ok. Finding a baby monitor that provides video and audio but is still eco friendly has huge! I love how easy it is to adjust settings on the parent unit and it is an added bonus the baby unit plays music and allows you to talk to your baby to soothe them. Parent unit held its charge when I was working in the house and the size was perfect to fit in my hand while walking from room to room with it. It has a great zoom feature on the parent unit and the display even shows the temperature in the babies room. A was able to rest assured with the private connection that only my eyes were making sure my little one was safe. I received this baby video monitor from the weeSpring Parent Panel. This monitor does everything I need it to and so much more. The nightlight on it is a very soft orangey light and the lullabies it plays are lovely. I have the camera currently set up in our toddlers room on a nightstand next to a nightlight and white noise machine. I like that the camera has a stand attached. The video display is decently clear. The camera must be set up within a certain distance in order for it to be of optimal quality. If I could change one thing on the camera, I would like some way to remotely pan the camera left or right instead of having to make sure the angle is just right when setting it up. The camera offers a zoom and pan option, but I found that to be pretty useless. I also did not like the loud beep that the monitor makes when turning off. The monitor offers a great ECO mode setting that only turns on the monitor screen/audio when it hears a sound. Using the ECO mode allows the monitor to be unplugged and on all night without it dying. I highly suggest setting up the camera away from any constant ambient noise like a white noise machine or else the camera will sense the sound all the time and the battery will run out quickly. Overall we are very happy with this camera/monitor.

As part of the weeSpring Parent Panel I received this product to review. I wanted to love this product so much because the features it offers are truly stellar, but a few things fell short for me. I'll give you all of my favorite parts first. 1. This monitor offers temperature monitoring which is super important to me because we all know how dangerous it can be for baby's room to get too hot. 2. Lullabies! Remotely from the parent monitor you can turn on lullabies to help sooth baby. This feature totally rocks! 3. Along with lullabies there is also a “talkback” feature allowing you to speak to baby through the monitor. This never proved super useful for me, but I still liked it. And 4. This monitor has good range, I had zero connectivity issues taking the monitor anywhere in our house, garage, or yard. Now for what I didn't like. 1. I felt the screen could be a little larger. This could just be me as I've used other video monitors prior to this and was used to a larger screen. 2. It advertises a comforting “nightlight” but it's really just a very very dim circle of light you can make appear on the device under the camera. It doesn't really function as a nightlight in my opinion, but that's no real loss I suppose. 3. Video quality is good just not as great in night mode as I had hoped for in a product of this price range. Daytime video is gorgeous & the zoom works great. 4. Finally my least favorite thing about this monitor is the sound issues. It has a “background” noise that again I didn't expect of a monitor at this price range. It's frustrating also because the eco mode is supposed to reduce power consumption during quiet times however it picks up every little noise so it's often not dimming. Overall it has some flaws but also some really great features. For the great features I'd still recommend this monitor.
