Now modelo negra does have a slightly stronger taste. To me obviously this one seems stronger and tastes like it too.. I like it as well and as much as the other modelo but this might not just be my first choice for an everyday drink or a casual event.

Didnt care for this one as much as the regular Modelo. But it was ok. I guess Im not the best beer consumer but I had this in a Michelada and it was ok. I dont think it would be my first choice though.I usually dont drink dark beers to begin with so this for me was just ok. 

Negra Modelo is technically a Munich Dunkel-style lager and has been identified as one of the few surviving examples of a Vienna-style lager. That was the style which was largely replaced by Oktoberfest, a slightly lighter but no less flavorful lager, in early 20th-century European breweries. Dunkelbiers are known to be dark. In fact, Dunkel is the German word for dark. Even as a Mexican beer, Negra Modelo follows the style quite well. It is on the lower side of the bitterness scale which typically ranges between 20 and 30 IBUs for the style. The body is clear with a rich amber color that is almost a copper.The aroma is sweet with hints of apple. The impression at the first sip is sweet. This gives way only a bit to some bitterness from hops which gives it a nice balance. However, the bitter is not enough to break this beer from firmly being categorized as sweet. Negra Modelo has no real lager snap at the end, just lingering hops. This actually makes the second sip more balanced than the first. It's as if the beer gets better with each sip.You will find some complexity and depth here but the flavors are very delicate. They are obliterated by the aggressive flavors of the Mexican cuisine that Modelo is often served with, making it a sweet balance to the savory and sometimes hot cuisine.

I have been drinking with loi ever since I was legally able to mow the lawn has been the Cornerstone of my family for many years and we take pride in purchasing Mexican beer Viva Mexico it has a fantastic flavor and yes I would recommend it to others

Modelo Negra is my go to dark Mexican beer for its great taste. If you already like dark beers, or if you are just trying them for the first time I highly recommend it. Whether drinking it by itself or with food it has a distinctive taste and stands out among most Mexican beers. It is an inexpensive beer that is available just about any grocery chain or liquor store.

I love both the Especial for a good day drinking beer, but I choose this one with my spicy dinners. Has a smooth flavor, goes great with extra jalapeños and doesn't require a six pack for a fun night out. For me, this is great in an icy cold glass. I drink a lot of beers from different countries, and this one is my go to night beer.

This is a nice refreshing drink that I choose to change it up on my Taco Tuesday evenings with my friends. I enjoy it and it's a nice change. I like that it is a little more robust and a little more full bodied. Very refreshing on a hot day after work!

This is my favorite beer. I have tried regular modelo and I liked it but this one I ended up loving. Ever since trying I go straight to modelo negra when I am looking for a beer. I love the dark flavor and richness of the modelo negra. I will definitely recommend to others. 

This is a great Mexican beer, and definitely one of my favorites. It's full of flavor and body and perfect on a hot summer day. The gold wrapping at the top can sometimes is annoying but it wouldn't stop me from buying it. I would definitely recommend this beer to family and friends!

I've only had this beer a few times and I am not a HUGE fan, but I do like it whenever I am in the mood for it. My husband bought this one night and I decided to give it a try and it wasn't horrible. It is affordable and it's not expensive. This wouldn't be my go to, but I will drink it.
