I have been trying to find contact information for Charmin online but have had no luck. The number on the packaging (800-777-1410) only provides a useless recording that offers no option to speak to a live person. I bought a 12-pack of Charmin rolls and they smell like bleach. I realize toilet paper is bleached to be white but I have been using toilet paper all my life (yes, really) and I have never encountered something like this. I do not know if it is safe to use! I have tried calling, but cannot get through to a real person, so I cannot even ask if it is safe. Can someone from Charmin PLEASE contact me? I want to file a complaint but Charmin is making it impossible.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Got my Charmin ultra strong toilet paper and immediately changed the current roll out so I could give it a try. Just as the package says, it definately is strong. You won't ever have to worry about any tear through with it. I was a bit disappointed with the softness, though. It reminded my a little bit of a good quality paper towel. I guess that this is the trade off for it being so strong. I think that I would prefer a bit more softness in my toilet paper though.

I tend to shop for my paper by the lease expensive but not the lowest. I did notice a slight difference in the feel but would not go out of my way to get this specific brand or kind.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Charmin Ultra Strong "toilet tissue" (to be called "TP") is noticeably softer than my regular brand of TP, which is colloquially known as "the cheap stuff". No question that Charmin is thicker, softer, and all-around better than my usual stuff. And - sheet-for-sheet - it's certainly worth paying more for this good stuff. With its extra thickness and strength, I'd be comfortable saying I could use less of the Charmin Ultra than of the generic. But (and since I gave it three stars, you should have known I'd throw my "butt" in there), my unscientific impression is that the roll is smaller, and gets used up quicker, even though we were using fewer squares per roll. So the economics get questionable, and I don't have the answer: Is it worth paying more for the higher quality, and getting a lower quantity (both in number of sheets and number of uses)? For some, I'm sure the answer is "yes". I'm not so sure of that for myself and my wife (we didn't ask the kids).

I don't like it, it is to thick and kept stopping up the plumbing, i think I'll be sticking to scotts from now on

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Yes, this is ultra strong as it's name implies, but it's at the expense of softness. I prefer a softer wipe to a strong wipe. Yes, it may take less TP, but it's rough/firm. Better for kids I'd guess as they need to learn the proper technique. Adults who know how to wipe effectively would prefer a softer touch I think.

It is very soft but yet durable at the same time. I never bought anything besides cottonelle, but sometimes change is good!!!!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Before receiving the 4 pack I was always a little skeptical about the claims Charmin has always made. The day I received the kit I immediately put it to the test by replacing my other tissue and that was the greatest thing I have ever done. Since then I have not turned back to other brands. I use less sheets than other brands and I also don't have to worry about ripping the sheet as I use it. It's so soft that it feels like I'm using a cloud to clean myself.
