[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently was able to try out the new Charmin Ultra Strong bath tissue (aka toilet paper). The main thing I noticed was that the tissue definitely stands up to its name. The paper itself is very strong so you do not have to worry about the dreaded "finger busting through the paper mid-wipe" nightmare that most of us have experienced at least once in our lives! However, there is a trade-off for this peace-of-mind. I did not find the Charmin Ultra Strong to be particularly comfortable compared to other brands I have used. I liken the feeling to that of using a paper towel for your bathroom business. Absorbent and sturdy? Yes. Soft and soothing? Not really. Because of this I have mixed feelings. If you are most concerned with the strength of the paper and don't want to have to use several layers of a softer tissue at one time, then Charmin Ultra Strong may be a good choice. However, if a soft and comfortable toilet experience is more important, than you may want to try another Charmin product or a different brand altogether.

Sorry Charmin, after years of loving your product, I’m going to have to find another paper. Why did you decide to only produce these huge rolls? They don’t fit any of my decorative holders and a quick Google search shows I’m not alone. Please consider switching back to a normal size and I will immediately purchase your product again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a strong yet soft tissue. A two-ply tissue make sit thicker but felt soft on the skin. Unfortunately, though the rolls were small, so for a big household it wouldn't go far. It cleans well and don't need much, but we don't like to change rolls that quickly.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Though the toilet paper was very durable and held up well, it was not soft at all. It felt like one was using a paper towel with how rough it was on the body. I even tried it as a kleenex and it was so rough it felt like sandpaper on my nose and left it rubbed red. I would not use this type of toilet paper again given the choice.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a pack of Charmin Ultra Strong to review from Charmin. I was expecting just another roll of toilet paper, but man was I wrong. This toilet paper is the softest and strongest I have ever felt. Normally when I blow my nose, I end up having to use a giant wad of toilet paper. With the Charmin Ultra Soft, 4 squares had me covered. This is going to be my go to brand from now on.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I first opened the package, I was impressed by the feel of the toilet paper. It was thick and felt durable... then I used it. Although you can probably "do more with less," I don't know that I would want to. I have certainly used worse, but I prefer my tp to be a little softer. Perhaps I will keep the other 3 rolls on hand for the messiest of jobs, but I don't plan to stock more than one variety beyond that. I'll stick to the other brand for now...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am no expert when it comes to toilet paper. My wife is usually the one who buys it on our house. When she saw that I was invited to the Charmin Ultra Strong campaign she didn't have very many positive things to say about the brand as a whole. Her overall complaint was that Charmin was known for shredding when wiping. Therefore, I was curious if the Ultra Strong would have the same results. However, just after a few uses both my wife and I became believers in this product. It definitely gets the job done. It cleans effectively without the harshness of some products. Furthermore, it is septic safe which is what I look for in toilet paper. I definitely recommend this product to others.

In the beginning I was impressed its "value," but soon realized I had committed to the wrong roll. Every time I needed support, it fell apart in my hands. If I needed a soft touch, it tore me a new one. I was tired of all the drama. In walks Charmin. I was quickly seduced by the bright red package. It was soft and tender, lending me all the support I needed in work and play. My roll anxiety quickly disappeared, I could rely on it lasting until the end of the shift. Day or night it was always there to meet my every need. I have become hesitant to hook up my friends, I can't afford to have Charmin in short supply. Who am I kidding, Charmin will never let me down.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Charmin Ultra Strong toliet Tissue is a good soft,smooth, tissue that leaves a fresh clean feeling. The paper is strong enough to handle any issue but still feels soft on contact. It lasts a long time while on the roll. It is easy to roll but does not fall off the roll either. It will not unravel and pool up on the floor easily. It does not feel rough like sandpaper and works great for the job at hand. It may get you to reconsider your current brand and make a change for the better.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve had a harder time reviewing this product than many others in the past. Partly because I can’t think of many different attributes of toilet paper, and second, because it’s harder to generate conversation about toilet paper. Bottom line up front, Charmin Ultra Strong will not replace by current toilet paper (the Kirkland brand I buy bulk at Costco). Charmin Ultra Strong’s primary selling point is its durability, which allows you to use less paper, saving you money. Let’s evaluate this claim. Is it durable? Yes. It is probably the most durable toilet paper I have seen. However, I found that the added thickness for absorbency and durability makes the paper stiff and less comfortable to use than my old brand. Also, it’s not really saving paper if I use one square that is twice as thick instead of two thin squares. In the end, you would think that this should at least be the same amount of paper, but actually isn’t, because when you look closely, the Charmin Ultra Strong tissue squares are actually slightly smaller (by maybe 1/4 to 1/2 inch). Was I able to use less paper with Charmin Ultra Strong? Probably yes, but not because of any inherent benefit to the product, only because I was trying to make the roll last as long as possible. Even with this concerted effort, there is no way that it would last 4x as long or use 4x less paper. Even 2x might be overreaching. Oh well, it was worth a shot, and at least I’m happy with my current brand.
