This is what my wife asked me when I told her that I'd be receiving a free package of Charmin Ultra Strong toilet paper to review. I must say I didn't really know at the time. I didn't know what to say at first because Charmin was already the brand we used at our house and we were used to a much higher quality toilet paper. It is easy to forget that not all toilet paper is created equal after I experienced some places that had pretty poor toilet paper. One of the main things I noticed about Charmin's Ultra Strong toilet paper was that it was a lot stronger and thicker than some of the other cheaper products out there. Some other toilet papers are so thin you can see through a single sheet and they rip significantly just trying to take some off the roll. You won't have that trouble with Charmin Ultra Strong. A single square is thick and there is no problem tearing it off the roll. Another benefit of the thickness and strength is that you don't need to use nearly as much of it. The paper thin stuff required a good many more squares to be able to clean with than the Charmin Ultra Strong. Another additional benefit of the thickness is that if needed you can use this toilet paper to even wipe up minor messes that happen particularly if you have kids who don't always hit the bowl. The softness of the Charmin Ultra Strong is a bit more mixed than the strength of it. I felt that the Ultra Strong was softer than say the paper thin brands, but softness was not the first thing that I really thought about it. It was comfortable and I had no issue with it, but I wouldn't necessarily call it soft either. So overall I felt that Charmin Ultra Strong lives up to its name. It is an ultra strong and thick toilet paper that also manages to be softer than the thinner varieties. There may be softer toilet papers out there, but Charmin's is a fine toilet paper. I'm ultimately not sure about their money saving ability, but I can say that you'd be having a toilet paper that is much stronger, thicker, and softer than a good number of toilet papers out there.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I usually use another brand of bathroom tissue that is safe for my septic system so I was hesitant to try Charmin Ultra Strong. I am so glad I did. It is strong and soft and septic safe. It cleans well and you don't need a whole lot to get the job done. Now I will search for Charmin Ultra Strong and use it as my bathroom tissue.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using the national chain warehouse brand, and by comparison, this feels almost too luxurious! It doesn't tear too easy and really cleans up. The extra benefit is that I ran out of kleenex during a recent cold, and the Charmin Ultra-Strong was just as gentle on my nose, I love it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried this and just couldn't get used to it. It was certainly durable and felt thick. I didn't like the wideness it felt like it was smaller as far as wideness goes and it was no where near as soft as normal TP. I will stick with my normal TP. Also I did not like the fact it was 2ply. Although it says it is safe, I prefer a 1 ply TP to make sure there are no sewer problems.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My wife and I stopped using the fancy toilet papers of the world for a few reasons; It is more expensive and you go through rolls far faster than your typical Scott 1000 or generic, they tend to shred like a nice Parmesan over a good Italian meal, and the large rolls just don't fit in the average in-wall TP holder found in older homes. I was surprised to find that Charmin Ultra Strong really did eliminate the shredding issue common to most "luxury" toilet papers. It really is very strong without being harsh, and is still absorbent. The other issues stand though.. you do go through a roll faster (due to thickness if nothing else) and it is more expensive. In a perfect world, I'd like two TP holders in the bathroom.. one with the good old 1000 sheet single ply for everyday use, and Charmin Ultra strong on the other for when things get real. In conclusion, Charmin has made a great product that does what it says on the tin. However I will not likely be switching any time soon.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] charmin ultra strong is such a pleasure. it is so nice to use a product that feels teriffic and is so strong. you will want to forget about the rest and use this one exclusively. this is the one to buy and try if you have not. if you want a pleasant experience then you gotta try this. once you do you will become a faithful user again and again.

It helps that there are reviewers out there that are will to take the time to give the public information on their experiences. I hope this review will help you as well in deciding if this product is right for you. Well I have to say that this product does provide a lot of comfort during use. I am actually use to TP like Scott 5000 which is rough and thin. I find the thickness of Charmin to be both good and bad. The reason for this is that while it is thick and requires a smaller amount to be used, it also does not last long and can clog a toilet quite easily. That being the case, you have to be mindful and flush often. I find this very annoying which is why I have used products like Scotts that are thinner and last longer. I also feel as a male that it's easier to not use a softer paper like Charmin, but for females the softness might be more desirable.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is out new TP in our house. It's nice and thick so you don't need to use much. It's so soft too. My whole family enjoyed it so much we switched to Charmin ultra strong. Who knew there could be such a huge difference in toilet paper??

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using another brand the past few months after receiving this to review i was extremely pleased with the difference! This is very soft nut unlike other toilet papers that are soft it does not rip and tear or leave any fuzz behind. I feel like this is the best of all toilet papers!
