Even trying to rip the paper, it takes a considerable amount of effort relative to regular toilet paper. The issue, however, is the softness of the product. Although not quite the extent of stock toilet paper, the Charmin Ultra Strong does not have the most comforting feel to it. From my experience, I would choose a softer toilet paper over the strength of this product because of the comfort it provides. If someone is looking for strength over comfort, then the Ultra Strong is definitely for you. If, however, you prefer softness and comfort, another product may be better equipped.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Compared to my previous toilet tissue paper brand, Charmin® Ultra Strong is definitely thicker which means it requires less sheets to get the "job" done and the softness doesn't chaff or irritate the skin which has happened to me with my previous brand. Of the four rolls I received, I'm only just finishing up the 2nd roll -- again, less sheets due to the thickness in the sheets. I would definitely recommend future purchases of this brand at the next cycle of shopping for household products.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So soft you almost think you forgot to wipe. Can also be used to blow your nose what a seriously great multiple purpose item. Seriously it is super soft a roll seems to last much longer then our normal paper.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Pretty much, yeah. I've always gone for the bargain brand paper, or gone for other name brands when money was a little more plentiful. One common thread with all of the others... they don't last as long as Charmin Ultra Strong. Because each sheet has the strength needed, we don't use as much paper per visit to the porcelain throne. Therefore, we don't need to restock as quickly. I'm saving more money with Charmin Ultra Strong than with the generic or dollar store brands. ALSO, there's a much softer feel to this paper than most others. No discomfort after a particularly challenging porcelain delivery from this paper. With Charmin Ultra Strong, I save money. I save time. I save comfort. Win-win-win.

Almost forgot I had received my sample and installed it in my favorite bathroom retreat. I actually thought after I used it - no problems, what a surprise. That is when I realized that my usual brand was not really doing its job. Now that I know there is a better product out there I will buy this brand from now on. charmin ultra strong is my new bathroom buddy.

I will give it thru the pack to see if they come around to liking it, but so far, it is not a winner in my house.

No more fingers poking through thin toilet paper. It is very soft and does other leave any residue behind. I highly recommend making the switch.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's not hard to tell the difference between good toilet paper and bad. Bad, you have to use 50 sheets just to make sure you're not going to have to sterilize your hands and it leaves you feeling like you used sandpaper on your backside. Good is well...Charmin. Soft, strong, practically perfect in every way. Charmin also presents a great value. It doesn't matter that the bad brands give you 10 times more sheets per roll when you are using that many more sheets per "transaction." Charmin definitely got it right on this one.
