The texture was extremely soft and the tissue themselves were surprisingly thick and strong. The name is quite correct in that regard. Overall, I would recommend Charmin Ultra Strong and I would purchase again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'll first say that I don't much like spending a lot of money on things that are purchased with the intent of throwing them away. We usually by the store brand for all of our paper products and I had not tried Charmin Ultra Strong before, simply based on price point alone. We tried Charmin Ultra Strong when provided a free sample. In order to really see if there was noticeable difference, we went cold turkey. We switched out the tissue in both bathrooms at the same time. The following is our families observations of the differences between Charmin Ultra Strong and our usual store brand. The kids: After switching, we asked the kids if they noticed anything different about the toilet paper in the bathroom. None of them noticed anything different. We then showed them the two side by side. They said the Charmin Ultra Strong had a "prettier" pattern. When they felt both, they said both were "the same soft." My wife thought it was okay but that our store brand felt softer to her. Scientific testing: We wanted to do a controlled test of absorbency. Using a medicine dropper we tested both with colored water. We found that the store brand could hold 53 drops (about 4 cc)of water before dripping through while Charmin Ultra Strong held 70 drops (almost 6 cc) of water. Charmin Ultra Strong was clearly more absorbent. Overall, the Charmin Ultra Strong is as soft or less than the store brand and significantly more absorbent. If absorbency is what you are after, it would be the winner. However, I look for a little more in a toilet tissue. The package indicates you can use less because 4=8 rolls. I tried using half as much. Not so great. In addition to absorbency, I look for something even bigger in a toilet tissue: Real estate. There is something to be said for surface area. For my money, as plush as Charmin Ultra Strong is. I prefer the cost savings of the store brand.

My family loves Charmin! If I buy another brand I am always in trouble when I get home with it. So now I only buy Charmin. My hubby calls it "the one with the bears on it". Thank you Charmin for making a great reliable product that my whole family can agree on!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the type of product review that is relatively simple to report back on because either it performs as advertised or it doesn't. First, let's analyze the claims made by Charmin, this one in particular: "With absorbency that’s 2x greater than the leading 1,000-sheet brand, unbeatably soft Duraclean texture, and strength that’s 4x greater than the leading bargain brand". The absorbency was excellent, but more like 20% better rather than the 2x as claimed. But, that's still a substantial improvement over the other regular tissues. As for softness, it is unbelievably soft, but not the velvety type of soft Cottonelle offers. It has a different type of softness feel, but essentially, still gets the job done and won't cause any unwanted irritation. As far as strength, it receives an excellent grade. You won't find any better on the market and clearly outperforms any of the bargain brands. It won't tear unless you intentionally want it to, but 4x as strong may have been somewhat of a stretch. Finally, "up to 4x less paper". That was clearly an exaggeration because I didn't find that to be the case at all even though I'm certain the amount will vary according to the individual. I would rate this as a superior product, but not worthy of more than 4 stars. It really is an ultra strong tissue and performs well, but the company still needs to improve with a more velvety type softness and have it available in floral scent as opposed to unscented. Those two critiques won't be a deal breaker because I would certainly use it again because it does perform well. Just could use a few minor improvements.

Anyway, it is the only brand I buy, as long as I can find a great sale and have coupons. It is strong, yet soft. Once in a while I buy another brand because it is cheaper, but I watch sales and try to stay stocked up on this because it is my favorite. I bought SIX pkgs of 18 mega rolls yesterday, so should be set for awhile!

This tp was very strong and absorbent but I would say it was not very soft. I would rather get something softer as to me that is the most desired characteristic.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have tried a great many toliet papers over the years. All sorts of horrible ones, but Charmin Ultra Strong is one of the wonderful ones. Thicker without having fuzzy pieces pilfer off and soft enough to ne well soft. It is a brand I am proud tobhavr on hand when company comes over.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used quite a variety of different "toilet tissue" brands, thicknesses, fluffinesses and plies. My butt was quite appreciative of the Charmin sample I received. It felt nice and did a good job. However, compared to the store brand I usually buy (which, honestly, isn't nearly as comfy), the roll really didn't last as long, even though I really did use less. So, many of the claims Charmin makes in relation to this product were witnessed by my retrospection. Butt (get it?), I'm just not comfortable with the value. I priced the product and it's about twice what I usually pay, which leaves me less than relieved at the thought of flushing so much money down the toilet.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The box from BzzzAgent came in the mail on Friday. Just in time for the last fishing trip before it got to cold to camp out. It's a 4 pack, perfect to take with us. I threw it in the truck and pulled it out at the lake, told the others who sent it to me. Note to self: never tell guys you got toilet paper in the mail again! When they quit laughing they eventually realized only 1 other person remembered to bring any, and there ain't no indoor plumbing at the lake! Anyway, the other tp pack was open so that got used 1st. It was basically the same kind- white, quilted, not single sheet, not store brand. After that, we opened the new Charmin. It didn't feel any different when you held it, but it sure held up better when you used it. The other brand, you had to use almost twice as much. The Charmin is stronger. We used up 2 rolls of the other brand in 1 day, and only 1 roll of Charmin the next day. One of the guy's grandmother was with us, she said she was definitely going to look for it when she went shopping. I took the rest of the pack home- I still live with my parents and younger brothers and sisters. I stuck it in the bathroom that gets used the most. A couple days later my mother was wanting to know what it was and where it came from because the rolls were lasting longer. She said my little brothers were using a lot less. Her only problem with it was they used to much the first couple times and almost clogged up the toilet because they were used to using more of the other brands. She also is wondering how well it breaks down in septic systems, since it is stronger. No one noticed it feeling any different when they used it, just that they were using less of it.

This tissue is stronger and stays together better than anything I've ever used in the past. I even got my wife and kids loving using this product! It's super strong and durable and doesn't break apart. You find yourself using less and making the roll last longer!
