I have purchased your strawberry jam for years but for the last year or so it's been a big disappointment. What happened to the strawberries, now it's only a jar of sweetened gelatin have you gone the way of other companies and now produce a cheaper product?

I feel like the people who have written reviews in the past are a bit thick. If you want chunks of fruit buy the preserves. If you don't want the wet consistency then don't buy jelly which is made from juice only. I love jam. made from real fruit without all those weird chunks of fruit. Mine spreads beautifully and evenly across the bread which I love.

I've eaten PB&J sandwiches with Smuckers Strawberry Jam (not jelly, not preserves) since childhood. Other than the occasional purchase of different flavors or competitors, or that one summer my mom made that incredible batch of strawberry freezer jam, I've remained brand-loyal because the product has remained consistent over those decades. But recently, something has changed. There used to be large chunks of strawberries in the jam (but not as crazy as preserves), but now it's no different than jelly, and not worthy of the Smuckers name. Some Smuckers employee replies to other comments claim that there has been no change to the recipe, but if that's the case, I'll find a new jam brand, because what you're labeling jam is not what I want on my or my kids' PB&J sandwiches. You broke your product somehow, whether you want to admit it publicly, and if you don't fix the issue, I'll find an alternate supplier.

I've always used this jam for Christmas cookies and have never been disappointed. So I grabbed a jar to use for my Halloween cookies. When I opened the jar, it was BROWN, not one speck of red (it didn't look that discolored in the jar). In one tablespoon it had 2 large clumps of strawberries, so I can't complain about no fruit...just the color. Very disappointed in the jam since it was late, so I ended up having to improvise on my cookies.

As a child, I remember my grandma making biscuits by hand and topping them with smuckers jelly. I have always preferred preserves over regular jelly; as preserves have more of the fruit in the jam. smuckers always have natural ingredients with the natural flavor of the strawberries shining through.

If you haven’t you have to try it and I guarantee no other jam will ever compare. It makes a wonderful peanut butter and jelly sandwich or even on a piece of toast. Its delicious!

Where have all the strawberries gone? Hint: They are not in a bottle of Smucker's Jam. I'd give it zero stars if I could. I had several of the large bottles of Smucker's Strawberry jam that lasted me through the pandemic. Now in October 2024 I found the jam, if you can still call it jam, was much lighter in color and amounted to thickened fruit juice. There was one small piece of strawberry in a 32 oz bottle. That's it folks. Do yourself a favor and cook up your own jam as this is not jam but jelly. In all the decades I've been eating Smucker's I have never noticed such a huge change in quality. They think we won't notice? I won't buy it again.

I had been using a different product for many years, because my husband does the shopping. Running out of that brand sent me to the store to get more, and I came home with Smuckers strawberry jam. I am sold! The flavor is more like the strawberry I want! I will continue to buy Smuckers. I understand you also have sugar free, my husband will love that! It even is yummy on vanilla ice cream.

I have enjoyed Smucker's Strawberry Jam for many years! Growing up, Mom made sure we had jelly, homemade until we ran out and then it was Smucker's! We also got government cheese and since I was often hungry after school, a cheese along with toast and Smucker's was the best thing to hold me over!!

I have eaten Strawberry Jam every morning on toast for so many years its hard to say exactly how long loved it. Over the last year I have really notice a change in that there are no longer strawberries, it has become a flavor spread, I hoped it was a mistake and one still buy until I realized it wasn't mistake it was changed, and that was the last jar and didn't finish it due it no longer was fruit but colored sugar jell. So sad!
