So Easy to Use - Love it!

Lightweight and easy. I'm 75 and love this little blower. Does a great job. Just be sure to use a 14 gauge extension cord like the instructions say to insure smooth and easy running and long life. I've been using mine for several years. Very satisfied!!

Good idea, bad execution

Its powerful enough but just like everyone else says, the plastic shute pops off with 3 inches of show. Its held by all plastic and 1 screw. Why would they not put 4 screws or make it metal? Probably saved $0.15 but now cost them another returned snow blower after 5 minutes of use.

DO NOT BUY!!

Just unpacked this product and put it together. We had a 4" of snow and I thought I would put it to the test. Good thing I did since I have a chance to buy something better. Shute kept getting blocked so I had to stop and clear it out. Also the top kept blowing off and I had to try and lock that down. It would appear locked and then would almost immediately blow off when I would hit a patch of ice under the snow. Took well over an hour to do half of a double driveway and not a good job of that. Was more exhausted using this product then if I had shoveled it myself. Product is useless. Do not buy! Spend a little more and get a quality product. This company seems to be a cheap alternative for people and for retail outlets that want to give consumers a budget alternative. If this is all the money you have for a snow "thrower" then I suggest you use more than the one screw they offer to hold the shute down. Drill a couple of holes and lock it down yourself unless you can return it. I had did not get a chance to use this product until after the return policy of Sam's Club.

Not bad...

Good snow thrower for the size of driveway I have (which is a single). However there seemed to be a redesign in how the shute attaches to the unit. It's a simple slide & lock connection, but the vibration of the thrower caused the shute to fly off the unit numerous times. Eventually I had to glue the shute into place.

Does whst it is built to do

Great fit clearing the driveway with a couple inches of snow on it. It won't dig through big drifts as easily as the BIG ones will, but it's not made for that! This takes a little bit of assembly. I sdded s 2nd screw to help hold the chute in place, theres a predetermined dpot for the extra one but only 1 screw eas provided

Beautiful little machine...

I love my little snow thrower. I use it carefully and take really good care of it. Super inexpensive, and super light, it makes my life so much better with less time in the cold, and a much easier task for my body to contend with. The drive is 125' so I go the last 25 with a shovel! That's ok.

Good snowblower.

Fast shipping and good product. We haven't had any snow yet, but this unit is light and easy to handle. The handle can fold down for easy transport in your car. It should be nice not to have to handle gas or worry about starting the machine. I want to store it in the house. That is something I wouldn't do with a gas snowblower.

Very useful product.

When I bought this in the beginning of fall, I wasn't sure if I made the right decision but when I started using it, not only me but my neighbors were surprised too! I even cleared the snow bank which was piled up in front of my drive way by city snow removal trucks. Of course I used my shovel to spread the hard snow sometimes but this machine totally did what it was supposed to do and I am very happy I bought this. I waited the whole winter to see how it performs and here we are. This machine was a good helping hand and really did the job for me with much less energy and time

Best Purchase So Far This Year!

I'm a 62 year old widow that lives with my mom because I take of her and look after the house. We have a great neighbor that plows our driveway when it snows, but I still have to clean around the cars at the top and clear the concrete porch that runs the length of the house. After shoveling out of our first snow this year, I decided that I'm getting too old for this and I ordered the Snow Joe. It was very easy to assemble and after exchanging the original extension cord that I bought (rated amperage was too low), I couldn't wait for the snow to fly again. We got a 4-inch snowfall, which, once the wind on this hill factors in, translates to drifts over a foot high. The Snow Joe cleared everything easily! On the higher drifts, I just “wheelied” the front up and sort of shaved them down from the top. I got everything cleared in about half an hour that would have taken me 2-3 hours to do with a shovel before. Can't recommend enough!

"Locked" snow hood blows right off in heavy snow!

The hood to direct the snow *blows off* with heavy snow. The clicking "lock" mechanism doesn't actually LOCK it securely. The engine is fine, which I tested when I bought it at season-end, but THIS problem one wouldn't discover until using it in snow. I had to do only small slivers of snow, making my job take 2- or even 3xs as long! And I had to run to chase the hood (in heavy snow) 20+ times. I will have to use DUCT TAPE to make it stay put, and hope that doesn't affect the swivel option, but fear it will. YES, I read all the directions to assemble, and YES, I put it together correctly. It's just poorly designed and needs to add bolts to make the hood actually stay ON. It also doesn't really handle the amount it says it well. It struggled with 4" of heavy snow. It would be better for light snow. DO NOT BUY. I will be looking for a new machine (NOT a Snow Joe) at the end of winter season. I hope I can make this machine last well enough to get me there.
